Powdercoating Sportivo Rims.

Recommended Posts

Hey guys since RME1 didn't get an exact response on powdercoating the stock sportivo rims, i'll try again. Im very interested in powdercoating the sportivo rims a dark bronze color and would like to know places in Sydney where this can be done. Have any of you ever had rims powdercoated before? and if so how much would it cost and is it durable?

Hey Strawberry face :P nice nick, have u checked out the yellow pages? -the online website is quite helpful

i checked out some places in melbourne and they charge for:

1. Sandblasting - (to get the grit and stuff off so the powder bits actually stick on)

2. Powdercoating

*they prefer or only take rims that have no tyre .... $_$ ....and charge depend on how clean the rims are $_$ and charge per rim $_$

quotes i got form Melbourne:

-to take off the tires $25 for four

-sand blasting $20-40 per rim

- powdercoating $40-60 per rim

so all together, around maybe $80-100 per rim...they're really picky about whether or not the rims are brand new or not B)

Hope it helps strawberry face! :D

WOA, those look schmick as!!.

I got quoted $300 to paint all 5 rims in black with a silver fleck through it.

But now im thinking Powdercoating may be more durable,

What do you lot reckon?? painting or Powder coating?? That gun metal grey would look awesome on a silver car.

Cheers
