Hi gents, the car has been perfect till recently. I began noticing the rear sensors don't bip anymore when backing up close.

The front ones work fine and yes, I have the sensor switch activated.

Anyone have any idea ?

Cheers Tony

Has there been any work done to the car lately? Panel repairs or interior work?

Hi Trent, No work has been done on the car. It's all original.

I'm suspecting a loose plug or something, But am unsure where to look.

Could it be a main device that governs the parking sensors ??

I've never fiddled with parking sensors before.

Sorry to hear your having issues Tony..could anything have become damaged in the boot area?...wiring...plugs? fuses?..

my 20 cents worth ..hope it is a very easy fix

Hey Robert, thanks for chiming in.

To be honest, the car doesn't get used very heavily. My wife only drives it to work and back and the occasional trip here and there. I keep a couple of foam boxes in the boot for the shopping bags etc and I can honestly say everything in the boot is like new. The car is like new so I'm unsure what would be causing only the rear sensors not to work.

I'll wait till Saturday to have a bit of a dig around. Week days are too hectic.

Hopefully someone who has had to deal with this issue is able to impart some knowledge on the subject. Until then i'll have to do a bit of research into it.

Thanks for all your responses.

Yes a strange one Tony...I mentioned your issue to my mechanic today and he also had never seen or heard of any issues, but he did say to ensure the sensors are clean with nothing blocking them..hope it an easy fix
