If a gear lever was going to break in a Sportivo then my guess would be that Danthuyer would be the first to do so:)

what is a gear lever?

and how would it break if subjected to high handling force?

is it the part that slots the gears into place or something?

Posted

Yes the shifter would most likely be a different part in the lotus, and with the amount of track/drag days the Sportivo's have done to date, it would have happened already if it was going to break.

the recall is specific to 04-05 cars, it could be possible that our 05 stivos havent hit the track enough ;)

nah i'd say theres a good chance its a completely different part.
