Howdy Folks, I came across these nice little sets and thought why not. A combination of 1/4" and 3/8" drive flexible sockets.

You can never have enough tools I reckon, especially when you face that type of access that leads you to curse out of sheer frustration. Better to be prepared I reckon.

Got these through Amazon.

Nice tools, shame about the price. 😁 I can certainly see their benefit. They should be useful for accessing the bolts on the intake manifold.

Being my usual contrarian self, I went looking on eBay and found this 3/8" set which I have ordered using a discount code.

Tony, have you tried to see if these work for the "famous ATM bolt" ?

That thought that crossed my mind when I purchased them, but not the sole reason for purchasing. I haven't tried yet, but as soon as I do I'll report back.

Hello again Gents.

For those of us who love tools, and I believe that's most of us, I was able to get a decent deal on this Serpentine Kit from Gear Wrench via Amazon and I must say I am pretty impressed with the quality for the price. I opted for the kit with the flexible ratchet head. There is a lesser kit with a non flexible ratchet and it's a bit cheaper.

This is a must have tool for those of us who have the 2GR-FE and the very limited working space on the serpentine belt side of the engine. I recently had a go at removing the belt to check idler and tensioner pullies for noise and was met with hostility right off the bat because I went in unprepared thinking it was a no brainer. I was wrong.. 🤪 Anyway, this kit will come in handy not only for our Aurion for potentially many other models too.

Next on the list is a set of Long Aviation Ring Spanners. Been wanting these for ages and kept forgetting to search, but the search is now over as these got delivered not that long ago and I couldn't be happier. Value for money and very decent quality too so I am pretty stoked. No need to spend big bucks on so called fancy "name brands". Believe me, these are just as good for a fraction of the price.

They start from 10mm and go all the way up to 24mm. When I say these are long, I mean they are long !. The 22mm-24mm spanner is as long as my arm !! Now that's some good leverage right there !

Ah the goood ol' days. I used to love the Paul Hogan show. The Benny Hill show was another great one. What's happened to TV ?? It's gone downhill since then. Can't have shows like this anymore.  Everyone is terrified someone may get offended, God forbid, the poor petals. 😄😜

I have got a more basic serpentine belt kit which did the job for me. However, I can see the benefit of spending the extra $$$ for a more comprehensive kit.

I previously acquired a set of 6 extra long spanners with zero offset from Trade Tools. Got the 8mm size but missing 11mm, 20mm and 21mm. The extra 7th spanner makes your selected kit that bit more comprehensive. The extra length does give you more leverage for undoing those bolts in restricted spaces where you may not be able to fit another tool.

I do have a separate 24mm ring spanner that I picked up from a clearance bin at either SuperCheap Auto or Autobarn. It is my goto spanner for the refill bolt on the side of the Aurion's auto transmission. More than likely I picked it up to complete a larger size range not realizing at the time that it was going to be so handy.

Here's another Tool update Gents..

I have been quite impressed with the quality of manufacture and value the Duratech brand offers and so I went ahead and purchased these fine and useful
S-spanner sets, both in metric and imperial. They come in a foam tray as they are meant for those tool cabinets with the sliding draws. My current tool chest is full, so I will most likely have to get another one at some point to accommodate these and the rest that will follow 😜

Note the metric one has the Black foam and the Imperial one is Blue. Inverted colour scheme for easy indentification.. If you can remember which is which lol.

These guys are the half moon spanner sets. Imperial and Metric also. Colour scheme as the previous lot too.

This is a 22 piece drive set. Includes all of the useful extensions, uni joints, socket adapters and spark plug socket options. Keeping with the Duratech brand for continuity.. Oh boy, there's that OCD again ! 😄🤪

I should've removed the packaging before photographing. Sorry guys. I'll update this soon.

Almost forgot to add these little gems. They come as a twin pack and the quality of finish is quite nice too. The price was too good to resist at the time. Soon after purchasing, they jacked up the price by around 170% and since then they have come back down to around half. I loved this little so much, I purchased another when the price bottomed out. It's gone up now by around 20%.

Amazon can be a funny place sometimes, where prices move like it's the damn stock exchange. I don't know if it's Amzon doing this or the vendors. If anyone knows who's behind the price fluctuations can you let me know, because sometimes the prices swing wildly !

Part of my OCD is the visual aspect. Function  plays a vital role, of course, but form is the candy for the eyes. I have to say that I'm pretty impressed with the quality considering they are not of the fancy schmancy top tier (ridiculously over priced- ehhemm-- snap on ehhemm) tools. I do intend to use them, so the wrapping will come off soon. I'm not one who beats on his tools. I use them properly and carefully and when I'm done, I like to wipe them down and place them back in order. Damn, there's my OCD again 😄😜

Another delivery arrived yesterday fellas and yes, more Duratech tools with more on the way..

These are a combination. One item is a pack of three quick release ratchets 1/4", 3/8", & 1/2". Beatifully finished in a polished chrome and faux brushed metal on the foam carrier. I didn't really need any extra ratchets, bit the price was too good to ignore and I thought it would complement the already growing Duratech set.

This is the Duratech equivalent Aviation "Extra Long" ratchet type ring spanners. One end is a ratchet and the other is a ring of the same size.

I didn't realise how long they actually were until the package arrived. It has some serious weight in it I must say. I used a tape measure this time to illustrate the length 😁🤪

Finally, I came across this little gem and though, yes, I can definitely use that. Got two as the price was ridiculously cheap.

Anyone who uses a grease gun must have this.

Here's another kit I almost forgot I had. These are also the Aviation type spanners, with articulating ratchets on both ends. Comes in a fold up pouch for easy storage and transportation. Again, nice quality by Duratech.
