Hey Gents, I was going through my inbox when I came upon a killer deal for tyres through Supercheap Auto/Tyroola. The offer was valid for two days and you get 25% off.

The the total price included, delivery of tyres to shop, fitting, balancing and alignment. Huge saving.

Not sure if any of you came across the same deal ?

Anyway, I thought it was a good time to act because my tyres were in a various state of disarray with varying degree of wear coupled with the fact that the old tyres had been on the car for more than they should have.

The Pilot 4s had sold like hot cakes, so I was late for that party, so instead I settled for the Primacy 3ST tyres. They are supposed to one up from my current Primacy LCs.

I arranged for my tyres to be delivered to a local tyre place and booked it for 8.30am sharp Friday morning. I was in and out in under an hour.

The drive home was a joy ! The car is totally transformed, with a plush ride and super quiet too.

That's another thing I don't have to worry about for a long time. I'll have to keep a better eye out on the alignment so not to prematurely wear the edges out. Seems to be a common theme with my car. The front left and rear right like to go out of whack. I'll have it realigned in around 6 months just to see how much it's gone out.

Yes, Big Mike. I was also considering the Primacy 4's but they ran out of stock during the special. I was lucky to have gotten the 3ST's mind you. Everything was running out like hot cakes !

The 3ST is a premium tyre and I hope it stands up to the claim.

I did notice the same deal but I have recently swapped over to a set of mag wheels fitted with new Continental CC5 [now superceded].

It should be a few years before I need to replace them but I do have the Michelin Primacy 4 and Continental UC6 on my watchlist.

I bought the Continental EC6 (or CC6? Would have to check) when we got Sebastian, for the price they are a pretty good option.  Amazing how a matched set of decent tyres and a competent alignment transform the car.

Great choice! Definitely not worth going for the PS4’s - have them on my golf and although they’re a great performance tyre, the trade-off is road noise (even with a well-insulated cabin). Primacy’s are significantly quieter and still have more than enough grip.

Thanks Luke. I didn't think the PS4s would be a noisier tyre. Pays to get first hand info from people like yourself. I appreciate it.

I'm very happy with the 3STs. I think it's the perfect tyre for the Aurion.
