gold to match the rims...

masking the VVTLi and the Toyota rings too ages steps were like this

1. Take engine cover off car.... der

2. apply degreaser to all surfaces then clean off with water and let dry

3. apply 1st coat of primer and let dry for 20 mins

4. apply 2nd coat of primer and let dry for 20 mins

5. mask off any surface you do not want to be painted gold (this took ages but was worth it)

6. paint 1st gold layer allow 40 mins to dry

7. paint 2nd gold layer allow 40 mins to dry

8. paint 3rd gold layer allow 40 mins to dry (touch dry)

9. HAND PAINT toyota rings and L in red :)

I used Septone plastic adhesion primer (spray can) on everything and Septone Gold Chrome paint (spray can) on top. The red was just some old model high gloss acrylic I have left over from my F1 model building days :D

Just need to apply a clear coat to it now and it's all done... :)

but there is more to come.....:ph34r::ph34r::ph34r::ph34r::ph34r::ph34r::ph34r:

I'll have to see how much paint I have left over after I finish everything... but if you want to leave the cover with me I could work something out ;)

I'm serious though Mario... if you want it done the same colour I could do it for you with what I have left

I have nearly 3/4 of the can after this and only a few small things  to paint, there should be enough left over if you want. :)
