Day 4:

WE'RE DONE!

Today Consisted of some last minute building.

I was planning on using the existing floor... That was quickly scrached when i decided that i didn't like the carpet that was covered in.....

So in went a box into the tyre well, this was carpeted, the new floor was attached to the top of this....

It was then time to make sure that all the flush mount panels would fit correctly.

It was then time to see how the finished product was going to look......

WOW!!!!!

I'm pretty happy with how it all worked out.

Time to wire it all up......

4 sub's, 2 amps = far to much wiring..............

Some early tuning

DSC02208.jpg

Today we will have the amp's tuned by a mate of mine.....

So the specs are as follow's.

4 X Picaso PCW-12

2 X Picaso PCA 4.400

Fusion 4 gage wiring Kit.

I have run 2 channels to each sub rather that bridging two channels. This allows me to keep the amps running at 2 ohms stable.

We are expecting to be producing approx 450-500 watts RMS in total.

So all in all it has been a good day....

Thanks for all your possative feed back....

g0t overk1ll?

far out, i would be hoping for 800+w RMS with that setup, although i am not too familiar with Soundstream gear (Alpine ftw ;)). Just crank it and be on standby with replacement boot seals :P

enjoy the d00f d00f

We need to get some monoblock Amps to get the full power out of the subs... but didnt have the spare cash for that. As for security i garage it everynight and work on a defence base, so not too worried about that side of things... but we upgrading the alarm next week...

Micky, The scoop is available from ozkits.com about $125.

I had to cut the main support brace to fit it, that's the one that run's straight through the middle. I actually bought another bonnet brand new from toyota, cost about $300. So i have two bonnet's and one car......

gday,

do you have pics of the underside of the hood? with the cut support brace?

looks awesome, love how the top subs look through back window!

P.S. wanted to ask, won't heat affect the subs? is the box ported? and also did you sound proof the boot lit? i got only one 15" sub which puts our roughly 130db and the rattle the lit developed is unbareable as well as the rear door panels =/ and you've got 4 subs and 2 amps...
