can you get defected with bucket seats?

genesis in melbourne has 1 x tom's black kevlar carbon super light bucket seat. it is on sale.

really how much?

The TRD bucket seats are just sport seats not full race bucket type.

Where is this genesis place?

what do you do about the side airbag?

Stivos don't have side airbags. For Levins i guess you would have to decide what you want, safety of an airbag or snug-fitting cool-looking seats :D

hehe i choose side air bags

because.... i wouldn't have been hurt so much if I had them in my last car... if you know what i mean

:(

I saw Recaro replicas online at Firesport and they look really good. I think that they were selling them at $900 for a pair, which is a really good price. They look exactly like the Recaros in the Integra Type R.

Will love to get those if I've got enough dough.

there are a lot of copies and think about you get what you pay for. no one yet has brought up adr. what about insurance? i think you need an engineers certificate for bucket seats. just a few things to think about.

I think as long as u get recliner type bucket seat you're not in trouble. Besides, who the hell want to drive in a fix bucket seat everyday?

Another alternative is to hunt for used WRX or Type-R seats at wreckers. Maybe even Supra or Skyline seats. Beware of imitations though. I tried to purchase 2 STi seats for a friend overseas and nearly got conned. They make them look exactly the same but the lumber support is totally different. Genuine ones have much more support, almost rock solid (WRX STi and Type-R Recaros). Also look under the seat for uneven or cheap stiching or even staples!

I had a mate who bought a used FTO seat for $200 at a Sydney wrecker. But the trouble is you would have to get brackets custom made and might cost more than the seat.

well the seat at genesis now is tom's.

i did not see any trd seats there.

i don't think the TRD ones are full bucket.

they are sports typs.

Actually TRD make both a reclining seat & a racing bucket seat.

Yeah, TRD got fix and recliner type bucket seat. I saw one at my friend's house. And yeap I saw TOM"s bucket seat at genesis. The TRD bucket seat looked identical to the TOM'S one I saw at Genesis.

How much are the oem type R recaros? Just for 1?

Well, I saw a pair at hondbits in sydney. They told me roughly 2 thounsand something for the pair. Cant remember exactly.

as I know Tom's bucket much more cheaper, compare with TRD,

and both using a same material, same quality,

y need pay more to buy TRD one?
