Hey guys,

A quick question for the guys with Koni adjustable shocks. Is it a replacement for the entire strut or is it only the shock itself.

Cheers

strut insert for the front, and whole replacement for the rear.

Grab matching springs like Eibach, a better match than Kings springs.

Shoks

Sway bars

Srut tension bar

Poly bushes

Looking somewhere between 2 - 2.5k I'd say. Maybe more.

Try Suspension City... they'll hook you up with the lot i'm sure.

That's where most of us Melbournians have had our suspensions worked on.

I am running coilover.

Donnellans quoted me 1400 for konis installed. I think that comes with spring also, not quite sure.

Don't forget camber kit. I found King spring to be too soft, something firm such as Eibach is a better buy. Or H&R. Tein S-Tech is also soft, so no good.

My reccomendation, grab coilover, camber kit (if not included with the coilover), sway bars, and optional front strut bar for extra rigidty. Our good friend here in this forum, Pippy, can grab you a set at bargain rate, I think he still got the G-Force coilover on sale. Check out buy&sell section, it's there.

I paid $90 to have my Konis installed at Suspension City. Nice guys but they put a huge scratch on my rear bumper during the installation. Sigh...

Are the camber bolts a neccessity? Do you have them on yours Egene? If so what type?

My drivers door got jammed inbetween the hoist wen they lowered my car.. n the doors bent on the corner now.. :(

damm i feel sorry for u guys who got ur cars damage in the installation.....

i got mine done at suspension city n was realli happi..great service n great prices....

think for front n rear koni's installd was abt $1100 mark...

n car handles way better....

I dont think camber is necessary. But you may aswell chuck it in. Cornering is better again with it. Just don't go beyond 2 degree negative on street. I set mine at 1.5 to match the rear.

I just went to a suspension place to get a price on installing and the guy said he had to drill a hole in the front struts in order to install them is that right?

Are they gonna fix ur car or are they stiffing you with a bend door

$90 for installation??!!!! That's bloody cheap!! I got quoted $300 by a local workshop without wheel allignment and $420 by Pedders which includes wheel allignment. But i guess i won't be getting any free bumper scratches or door jamming happening :P

I asked my dealer ship if I install a suspension kit if it would effect my warranty, they said it would but only

around the parts asociated to the suspension kit. Do any of these aftermarket installers offer warranty

on the parts and labour? Also how long?

I just bought my baby so I realy don't want to have any warranty issues.

Not shore what to do, but I know shes screaming for it!

Pls HELP!!!

I called Pedders in Footscray (Melb) and got a quote on the following:

Noltec coilover shocks and springs

Signiture swaybars front 22mm and rear 18mm

Pollyurathane bushes

Signiture strutt bar

Pedders camber kit front and rear 1.5 degrees all round

Roughly around the $3000 mark

Is it a good price???

I guess they have to, because your standard strut will have to be taken out and in the Koni strut insert.

U can ditch the swaybars, they are small size, infact the rear is standard size being 18mm. Whiteline makes 24mm front and 22mm rear.

for 3000 dollars, I suggest you go buy cusco zero 2 coilover suspension which comes with camber top mount and TRD rear sway bar that is 23mm in thickness and TRD front strut bar.

if ur willing to spend that much money on sussy and ur serious about being a handling gimp, than like Danz suggests, buy the zero 2s and specify a 12kg/mm - 8kg/mm spring rate instead of the standard 7kg/mm - 5kg/mm.

u can also get urself sum strut bars n sways with the left over change...

happy turning :)

Of all the stuff you've listed above i haven't heard of any of it apart from pedders camber kit and I didn't think that you could adjust camber on the rear.(when you lower it you'll have about -1 degree camber anyway). Sway bars sound like direct replacements for stock and if anybody has heard of noltec and signiture then please explain
