  1. Could this work? Maybe swap over your boot lid with him and chuck him $50. http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/kings-beach/cars-vans-utes/1992-toyota-camry-auto-spirit-for-wrecking/1028104672 or http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/browns-plains/wrecking/now-wrecking-1992-toyota-camry-sv21-many-parts-available/1021096944
  2. Oi people, So i'm looking to remove some to classic camry body roll in my car. Looking at potentially getting front lower sway, rear sway and maybe front strut tower bar to help with this. All ive seen so far is Ultra Racing from Malaysia products that should fit my car as theyre for the XV50 Series, which i believe is the asian camry? There's a few listings on Ebay for them. Do people have any thoughts on the matter... Effectiveness on camry? Other brands that may have releases? Any help appreciated. Cheerz. ^_^
  3. Haha just saw the inverted emblem... so like devil mode or some ****. The black beast. Cool.
  4. Yeah, it means Camry, which means crown... so yeah.

Camry = anglicised Kan-muri, Japanese for Little Crown. Corona = Latin for "Crown". Corolla = the coolective name for the petals in a flower, basically a flower "crown". Crown = English for "Crown". Cresta = from the latin "crista", meaning a crown of hair (ie a plume, crest etc)....

  5. Agreed... The sportivo is wrecked by the ultra sqaure rear end but more by the excessive use of the black plastic grooved sections in the front & rear bumpers
  6. I keep my garage opener and a wheel lug lock head in there and agree that **** can get stuck easy as.
  7. What sort of quality are Ultra Racing sway bars considered to be? Mid range etc?
  8. Yeaah thaaats betterrrr... I much prefer the plain steelies on ya car rather than the black!
  9. Cheers Ben, My mate will give us a hand on saturday to install, hopefully wont take too long.
  10. Delivery today but now i'm scared to install... its too tech lookin for me i reckon... i'm not sure - my mate says he'll help me... anyone know if it'd cost much to get installed by a pro? Fck.
  11. When i see steelies on a camry like that it makes me think of cop cars from old school action movies hehe... I found a gumtree listing for these which is what i had on my 1997 camry... Set of 5... Asking $280 ive asked em for $150 haha. Also this ad isnt appearing online for my ipad - just my android app. Theres also this listing http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/chadstone/wheels-tyres-rims/-used-camry-6th-gen-tyres-5-tyres-/1028616521
  12. What area u in? Don't love the steelies on the blue and i reckon the late model aurion wheels would make it stand out a bit. The kappa wheels from toyota would look sweet but thats outta the price range.
  13. Just looked at your thread. If they're the Advans then I can safely say I won't be able to pay what you would want for them haha :P Hey RAD, I recently sold at pair of 2006 aurion factory 16" for $180 - Got em for $140 off Gumtree. Bought em for my 1997 Vienta but ended up buyin a new car. So you can get real cheap stuff but maybe not aftermarket looking stuff.
  14. No experience with this but i just took these cuz im bored at work and cbf'd.
  15. Love IS250s... I'm assuming not having to inform insurance of a different air filter. It's not really anything major.
  16. Hahaha Good work man... Nothin like impulsiveness! Wish i had that 10% off. If your Grande is anything like most camrys they're normally a quieter ride according to most, so you shouldnt notice a huge difference in the cabin at all, except when you're really pushing the engine, even then it shouldn't be loud inside. If ya could post some pics of ya install that'd be good. good luck.
  17. Hey Harlo, Not received yet, should be this week. I'm planning on uploadin a short video for pre and post install of the engine sound. If you're worried about the cost i probably would advise against it. It seems the biggest difference is just audible but i'm doin it cuz i just want a nicer sound when i kick it in the guts.
  18. Online chat with K&N today went like this, 04:57:43 PM [Richard] I'm in Australia and i'm trying to find out whether or not K&N 69-8620TTK will suit my car. 04:57:50 PM [Robert] Hello and welcome to Live Chat. Please give me a moment while I review your request. 04:58:06 PM [Robert] To better assist you, please provide the full year, make, model and engine size of your vehicle. 04:58:55 PM [Richard] 2013, Toyota, Camry Atara-S , 2.5 litre 04:59:19 PM [Robert] http://www.knfilters.com/search/product.aspx?prod=69-8620TTK 04:59:23 PM [Robert] This is the correct kit. 04:59:54 PM [Richard] Even though this is an australian model, not american??? 05:00:12 PM [Robert] Correct. 05:01:32 PM [Richard] Excellent, is that documented anywhere online, i'd hate to buy the product and have it not fit with no ability to refund etc 05:04:29 PM [Robert] No there is no documention. 05:04:51 PM [Robert] You can view the installation instructions below and look to see if everything will line up on your vehicle. 05:05:00 PM [Robert] http://www.knfilters.com/instructions/69-8620_Inst.pdf 05:06:00 PM [Richard] the U.S. engines and the AUS engines physical layout look almost identical, so i think i should be safe 05:06:12 PM [Robert] I agree. 05:07:47 PM [Robert] Is there anything else I can assist you with today? So i placed an order with Amazon today which was a little cheaper than US Ebay. Filter kit plus a wrap for the filter for around $370.
  19. Yeah ive been hittin the forums as usual not just on here either... Im not fussed about the power gains but would prefer a more aggressive sound. I havent really seen ppl say theyve been usin more petrol... When u had a short ram installed was it on the TRD? If so keep in mind im only drivin a 2.5 litre. Thanks for replyin anyways Rebz - latest flickr pic on ya post looks mean.
  20. Hey all, Looking at potentially installing the following K&N Intake: http://www.knfilters.com/search/product.aspx?prod=69-8620TTK I've been askin ebay sellers, listed retailers/installers from the K&N website and just today i also emailed K&N directly but so far no luck with anyone local being able to tell me whether it'll suit my 2013 Camry 2.5 litre. The engine design almost identical as far as exterior layout. If anyone has a clue, id appreciate it. Heres a link to an american 2.5 with the intake installed. www.youtube.com/watch?v=dnuB2PIZvuw
  21. So not yet content with my black and white obsession and continuing interested in plastidip, i decided to go and try some on my emblems. I wasnt the biggest fan of the chrome look emblems anyways. Photos to show my journey hehe. The product: For the front emblem because it's hollow i just improvised and stuff paper toweling into the gaps and just moulded the paper into the appropriate shape: Then i taped up the surrounding areas with A4 paper from work and some masking tape then commenced first coat which looked like this after dry: Second coat looked like this just after being applied: I did four coats of matte black for each emblem, allowing drying time in between, then followed that up by two coats of the glossifier. After that i removed the paper and taping (note the overspray) and this is what it looked like: Stripping the excess dip was a little time consuming, the small gaps were difficult to clean out, i may try a different technique to cover up next time: The rear emblem was much easier to deal with as it has a solid backing. Here's what the rear emblem looked like all taped up: Here's a couple of pics of what it looked like at the end, i'm reasonably happy with the result considering it was my first go. To clean up the excess dip i used my 3M adhesive cleaner that i showed earlier in this thread and that stuff goes straight through the dip like hot knife butter steez. The whole process probably took me about 4 hours or so.
  22. Hey Neill, Cant answer the first question without scouring forums but theres these. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Toyota-Camry-1997-2001-4dr-sedan-Rear-Trunk-Add-on-M3-style-Lip-Spoiler-/271214951708?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Year%3A2001%7CModel%3ACamry&hash=item3f25abbd1c&_uhb=1 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/97-01-TOYOTA-CAMRY-OE-FACTORY-STYLE-ABS-TRUNK-SPOILER-WING-LIP-PRIMER-/360717817381?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&fits=Year%3A2001%7CModel%3ACamry&hash=item53fc751625&_uhb=1
