  4. what do you mean you changed the axel? you mean cv's? which one did you change... if noise is when you turn left its your right cv, if it happens when turning right your left is buggered... also this knocking noise, is it a knock? or a ticking or a scrape ?
  5. ditto.. i got 17's and king lows, never scrape but when car load she scrapes on bumps.. when i lowered her my brother drove it and forgot and went up a driveway quick and hit my front bar, damaging the bottom skirt... oh damn :S sorry to hear that. I think eventually you/anyone will forget, and scrape, or bottom out somewhere along the line hey? To the OP: I chose Kings Super Low's mainly because I liked the look of them, which was based on pics from TOCAU. It's whatever you prefer though. Good luck with it! :) yes was expecting to eventually scrape, but my brother did this.... i can fix it up but since im not driving anymore cant be bothered...
  6. i reckon they pull up better, dont get as soft pedal when im giving the brakes a hard time. dust has trippled from stock and i hate it. looks better too i reckon lol um 165 each. tax time nxt year yay !! trd pads were 120 for front and rear! yea 175 each front slotted rotor is the cheapest quote i have got from bursons out of supercheap, autobarn and repco. Where did you get your pads from? that is very cheap. i got them off ebay lol
  7. but 1 thing you shouldnt paint (which is hard to do if the caliper is still on the car) is the rubber seal around the piston. the paint can damage that which may result in leaking brake fluid. true! but wont the dust seal will protect the piston seal when pressed back all the way yes? i just pushed the pistons back, and covered the hole for where the brake hoses go.. and bleader nipple ALL VERY GOOD DESCRIPTIONS PEEPS !!
  8. i gave up in the 40s... boor slacker wasteing his money like that....
  9. im up to page 10.. classic !! wonder what he was doing with that file to the head... ??

  13. All very good names people! I can see why you chose that name from descriptions ! I call my car Val cause I got her on valentines day as I said before but when I look at her nothing comes to mind I just call her that.. Have I lost my love for the car? I think so lol
  14. if u go canberra, dnt go there, its a hole lol, their casino is rubbish, my local rsl is way better haha.. ummm nowra too far for u??
  15. late opinion i know, but the way i did it was i removed all the bolts holding the clutch pedal bracket, and somehow got a spanner in there and losened the nut, fitted the assembly agian, ( top bolt is very fun ) and adjusted the rod till it was good, then then nipped up the bolt with spannner, didnt go super tight as didnt have the room to do so so just nipped it... its all good... Thanks for the reply. I will try to do it this weekend and update this thread. ????????????????????????
  16. VAL !! i bought her on valentines day
  17. you just reminded me of when i owned my old ford falcon EL.. i was at a cousins house and just before i left i decided to change the oil when i got home so ill put the flush in when i get home and let it idle for 5-10 mins, but decided since it was a 10 min drive home i put the flush in and drove home.. i didnt end up doing the oil change when i got home cause i could be bothered.. done it the next morning, and i let it warmed up and idle for 5-10 mins so didnt really needed to put it in the night before... silly me.. How'd it go the next morning? started it up in the morning, ran fine, done the oil change, didnt notice anything wrong, drove fine!... i thought u can put load on the motor with flush in it.. but soon found out u cant when i started my apprenticeship lol

  20. ive taken my rear shocks out of the car and put them back in, removal of trims inside the car to get to the bolts and put new springs on, hr half?
  21. chicaboo... sooo who wants to port my headers? lol
  22. Shame it doesn:t work like that in reality. The UV damage to the tyre (not even mentioning the ageing proces) reduces grip like you wouldn:t believe. the bloke is in his 60's he seems to think it works, not saying it's true
  23. hatch or sedan? i dunno what the difference in shocks are as i have never looked under a sedan, but i know hatch u have to remove seat and boot trims, even so its not a 600 job, as said b4 shop around and u will be amazed how much cheaper u will find how much are the parts?? and labour ??
  24. mine grinded, i glued the rear shims to the pads, it helped for abit then came back... ive since put dba slotted and trd pads and no more grinding !
  25. put these new halogen 5000k bulbs in foglights todai...
