  1. x2! Colour code it ftw! ;)
  2. Sick as Kevin! Mine's waiting to be installed!!! What's the difference between GF and NF spring rates? Peter.
  3. Johnnie, if you start driving as much as me and everywhere like me, you'll get 600+ a tank easy. I got light yday, was on 540kms; computer said I had 20kms left. Filled up only 43L. :P Peter.
  4. Guan, I'll be with you in spirit! That is, imagining tackling corners with you whilst in my exam! :P :P
  5. Nah he was drunk and off his face.
  6. Just in case any ZRE owners looks at this thread in future. For Aussie spec ZRE, there are no BC Coilovers in BR Series, just in V1 series. :) Peter.
  7. Alright, it's 100% confirmed that these won't fit. There are not BC coilovers in the BR Series that will fit Aussie ZRE, even though the Aust. BC site says so. The Aust. BC sites says '08+ Corolla, but in fact it's ZRE142 C-24 (that is, Altis). The only coilovers available for our ZRE is the V1 series, what Ray89 has. So just waiting for that to come now. :) Engineer said you can try the BR fronts anyway, problem is due to the lower bracket. Will let you guys know how it goes. :) Peter. EDIT: Have measured BR lower brackets opposed to stock = slightly smaller. :(
  8. Hey Mick, looks like it's going good! :) What's there left to do?
  9. Yep, John they are new. Got them for $1200. Friends were organizing local group buy, Sorry John couldn't resist! :) Got a question for you though..look below Yep, correct. <_< Guy ordered ZRE142 ('08+ altis). Knew straight away when I opened it because of rear piece. Went back the next day. Checking again, said ZRE152 didn't come in BR, only VA. Shocked because justjap had it. Talking to his contact, one solution was to keep the 142 BR fronts and get VA rears (BR fronts have 1kg higher spring rate than VA). I checked the mounting piece today with the car, seems like it will fit. Not 100% sure though. Was going to go see the guy again tmr, make it confirmed it will fit. Keep in mind, guy is really nice! Anyway, got this in the mail today! :D (cars not included :P) Peter.
  10. Yeah, I was thinking that.. Did I hear something along the lines of new car? Wow, you serious Pete? Hmmm depends what it looks like, but if we can make black ZR badge, then nothing stopping me doing black toyota badges! :D
  11. Yeah, that's what I worried about too. What's with this pins stuff? I haven't removed it for this reason - don't want to break it and then drive without it for a while..will look weird lol. Chrome on my car is alright. I don't mind it as it is now. Just might look better with black headlights, badges and mirror covers! Oh yeah, if I do black my rear badge, probably should remove the 'corolla' badge, but will it look weird with a black toyota and a chrome 'levinzr' badge?
  12. Got it a while ago, just haven't had time to get it on. Probably after exams! There might be a slight problem though (you guys can spot it).. I'll find out today! Peter. First post updated.
  13. Wow that's different! Just not sure how that would look and if it will suit my car than black.. Like this? :P What if mine is all scratched at the bottom? (driveway) Thinking about the black Toyota badges.. Don't think I'll go netz badge though :P
  14. Yep, just as KenshinX said, accelerating. Cruising on 50 I'd go 4th if road is flat, 60 go 5th if road is flat. I also drive by feel/sound, I don't even look at my fully sick huge tacho uleh! :P :P
  15. Good find John, but like you, not really a fan of the facelift rear bar. Facelift tails on pre-facelifts looks alright.. (Team white FTW! :P )
  16. Computers says I'm doing an average of 8.3L/100kms (since reset installing CAI), estimates around 540kms-ish when I jump in! Before CAI, was doing 7.3L/100kms, around 600-650kms per week. (yes, I drive a fair bit ) Peter.
  17. Back to topic even I was having an interesting read.. :P :P ZREs have really short gear ratios.. Driving normally, change gears 2500-3000 revs. If road is flat and limit is 70kms, I'll go 5th. If road is flat and limit is 80kms, I'll go 6th. 1st 0 to 20-25 2nd 20 to 40-45 3rd 40 to 60-65 4th 60 to 70-80 5th 70 to 100 6th 80+ Track/racing: 1st 0-45 2nd 45-84ish 3rd 84-120 4th 120-160 5th unknown 6th unknown Peter.
  18. you know you must have spent a late night at uni when you see the cleaner vacuuming around you!

  19. If I didn't have exams on that Wed afterwards and that week, I definitely would drive up!! Fkn spewing because I couldn't make it last year either! And I really wanted to see the Syd ZREs!! :( And no, I'm not doing an easy course! <_< So don't hate me, hate the other VIC guys don't have a proper reason!! :P Toyota love..lol Peter.
  20. Thanks guys! I was leaning towards doing it (after exams of course :P), just wasn't 100% sure if I should do it or how I would go about it. Certainly would look better with black headlight mod I reckon! Here's another pic of it.. And Lee, this is for you! Peter.
  21. Goodluck with those tailights! Can't wait to see them on! :D
  22. My friend suggested I do this..kinda 60/40 on this at the moment. What do you guys think?? Satin Black Mirror Covers Peter.
