  1. We will know because that would also mean they have to republish the actual power figure for the Stivo.
  2. Sportshatch141 check with your dealer about the oil change as they could have put in some crappy stuff or skipped the change altogether. With the suspension, its the "Characteristic" shock absorber problem that some guys here have already experienced. Get Toyota to do a warranty job on that. And with the gear shifting i strongly believe its due to something with the clutch assembly. The clutch felt wierd to me from day 1 with a little more vibration through the pedal than other cars i have owned. I am also going to see if i can get this done under warranty. I have written numerous emails to TMCA and so far the customer relations manager have offered me to get my car tested by a regional representative. I have been quite blunt and demanding with them because my patience is running thin and i will see how they respond. Get these probelms fixed under warranty mate, that's why we bought a NEW car.
  3. The pod is like a straw sucking up water when you floor it in the rain so be very careful. Not that Australia rains that much but i guess that is the only advantage of the standard air intake setup, more protection against these sort of things.
  4. Great stuff! Now just have to wait for the letter. What about the drivetrain and shocking shock absorbers?!
  5. Quite a few guys are having problems with the shock absorbers it seems. Hey Peekay, maybe we can also organise a group buy with Bruce for the TRD Clutch & Flywheel? I was also wondering if the TRD clutch and pressure plate will work with the standard flywheel for those not opting for the lightweight flywheel. I might have to ask Bruce personally.
  6. You sure you have not just gotten used to the "LIFT" experience? :P So what symptoms are you getting regarding the engine, suspension and gearshift? I do have a "locking up" shifter at around 8000rpm, not sure if that is the characteristic you are mentioning?
  7. I put min 32psi and 34psi max when i carry more load. Also depends on the quality of road you travel on. Lower pressure means better comfort over bumpy road.
  8. Does that mean i can get Toyota to put in another clutch or at least fix the clutch for me under warranty since i had the shifting difficulty since day 1. I do feel the clutch pedal in the Stivo vibrates a little more than other cars i have driven.
  9. Yeah. Unigroup Engineering. In Giraween (near Blacktown) How much do they charge Tiger?
  10. Upside down good time but i think a stock stivo will run very close 1/4 mile times. Your 137.75km/h terminal speed is slower than the Stivo's 145km/h recorded by MOTOR mag which tells a lot about the Stivo. BTW what were you dragging against, i am guessing its a AWD Turbo looking at the 1/4 mile time and terminal speed. Zee
  11. What was your terminal speed Pecker, i know MOTOR magazine recorded a 145km/h terminal speed for the Stivo with a 1/4 mile time of 16s flat. The Stivo sure hauls hard at higher gears.
  12. I am Chinese from a tiny little country called Singapore. Hey E-gene i was guessing youre from Singapore when you mentioned about importing parts..hehe. Anyway, i am an Aussie for 6 years now and started off in Wollongong and moved to Shellharbour few years back.
  13. izzfe good one i think the cost is around $40. we are thinking of going to a dyno around nunawading. $40!!! That is bloody cheap, i remember i was chraged $100 for 2 or 3 runs at Croydon Autosports, Silverwater (Sydney) in 2001. I must have been seriously ripped off! It was a dyno-dynamics dyno and i wasn't sure if it was in shootout mode but i still remember my WRX was in 3rd gear and it pumped out 132KW @ wheels with FM intercooler, full 3" exhaust, CAI and boost controller for 1.2bar boost :P It shows how easy turbo cars make power. NA cars need twice the amount of money but get half the power gain. Anyway i was ripped off, sorry for being off topic :(
  14. I know its good for the gearbox synchros and clutch. I sometimes brake using the left half of my foot and use the right side of my foot to jab the throttle. That is provided your foot is big enough and make sure you don't slip off the brakes :P
  15. New Graduate Registered Nurse on 1st rotation at Wollongong Hospital. I know Influx is the other RN here.
  16. Did you get it changed at Wollongong Toyota Nikich?
  17. Thanks for the info Peekay. I was supposed to bring my car into my dealership here last Friday for a test drive by some regional representative, who was going to diagnose my car's problems. Apparently this guy only comes once in a while and a "special" appointment was made for me because i wrote my concerns to TMCA who in-turn wrote to this dealership's manager and they rang me to offer this meeting. I never made it due to work and received another email today from TMCA asking me to make another appointment. I replied and will see how it goes. Maybe they realised the fix was coming for the Stivos and needed one with the problems to be a "gunea pig" to test out the stuff? Zee
  18. i'm in darwin at the moment...thus i can't check the box for the part number. when i get back (next week) i'll post up the Part Number. The part number is 33-2252 i think and it is made in USA. That is the number i had on my K&N box. I paid $130 for it. It is the same filter used in 1ZZFE Corollas so should be easy to get.
  19. I believe its to do with our brake pads.
  20. When is it your turn mate to show em Stivo power!? :P I reckon it will be a very exciting battle after watching Leanne Ferrier in GTP yesterday.
  21. Damn are they that heavy? I am thinking of getting 205/55 tyres and keeping the wheels.
  22. Hey Screaminrolla, did you change your brake pads? I noticed yours is different, mine is Blue in colour from factory.
  23. Nikich is right about the locations. I usally go to the BP at Albion Park Rail or the Shell at Shellharbour. I use Optimax more often because i do find that better in the Stivo than Ulimate. Also i shop at Coles so i get cheaper fuel at Shell. With Mobil, no luck around here with Synergy 8000. Zee
  24. I have that squeal but don't care much anymore because i am sick of my dealer here and am currently too busy to bother. I am driving my car harder by the day and i found that the Stivo responds very well to hard driving.
