Yes this was my gf and her car, she works near the airport so the car will be spotted out that way a fair bit. awesome, well thats where i work, as well as my dad, mum, and brother, so anytime u drive past, there is a 99% chance of spotting one of our corollas... looks really funny when we line them up in a row in the carpark :P

yeha but i dont know why everyone gets so excited about it, its really not that special, Neal Bates Motorsport in Canberra builds a Corolla with a 3S-GTE every couple of weeks, it cant be too difficult seeing how the corolla and the ST205 celica we're built on the same platform so most of the bits and pieces fit perfectly.

yeh but it wouldnt be too difficult to design a new chelf and attach those annoying bits of carpet to it as well, or even just the hooks if u still want in to connect to the seats

for painting, go and see Robert at Auto Body Care in Fyshwick. Paints all our cars for us, does a really neat job too. probably not the cheapest around, but u really get what u pay for.

hey man, thats no good at all! better get it fixed soon us canberra boys need to keep our numbers up! the stivo's are very taily on the dirt but thats just because they are front wheel drive, there is no weight in the back! once u get it fixed, if u still got a bit of money left, upgrade the suspension and that should help a little bit. hope all is ok with the repairs! where u getting it done? PM me if u dont want everyone to know or if u want some advice on where to go to get it done.

are u serious? i had a white celica and it practically kept itself clean! no matter what it was always sparkling, i spend ages washing my blue stivo and as soon as i drive it its dirty again! I use to wash my old car once a week because it would be dirty, my stivo gets washed every 2 weeks and looks cleaner than what my old car did. I have to admit that once the white car was cleaned and wheels shined it looked pretty good yeah i'd imagine that the silver colour would be easy to maintain as well. Just stay away from balck and blue!

i think your right too, as we always get the crappy engines here in oz and they get all the good ones lol

does the car have climate control? if so i would say thats what the sensor is for. 4WS and 2WS could be four wheel steer and two wheel steer, meaning that whenever you select 4WS all four wheels will turn when the steering wheel is turned. very handy for parking! Sports and Normal, well i guess its just different modes for the engine, i guess sports is just a little quicker and uses more fuel. as for the car itself, that model celica in Aus were called ST184 or ST185 for the GT4's. i assume ST183 would be the name of the convertible. celica's in oz came out with 2 engines as far as i know, a 2ltr 3S-GE (3S-GTE in the GT4) and a 2.2ltr 5S-FE. i would assume your other celica has a 5S-FE in it. but if the engine has Toyota Twin Cam 16 on it i would think its only a 1.6ltr engine, and i think i read somewhere that the convertibles in japan did come out with only a 1.6. so yeah, dont really know too much but i hope thats a start for u.

it is possible to get lift to kick in earlier, but from what i understand the greater amount of lift equals much less torque, so really u really wouldnt want any less torque than what the stivo currently puts out. BTW dad's rally car stivo revs to 9 grand with the motec computer and really good fuel.

cars run by mixing air and fuel in a certain ratio which the computer decides for the car, if there is too much fuel coming in for the amount of air coming in the car is running rich, if there is not enough fuel the car is running lean
