If you want a front wheel drive 3S-GTE in a rolla, do exactly what rollamods said to do. If you want a proper GT-4 with the 4WD running gear, its not going to happen. You will need to import the 4WD rolla shell from Japan or SA for a start. Which wont be complied.

Hey Gav, Its all because they disconnected the battery at some stage To fix, hold the button all the way down for about 30 secs, and then all the way up for 30 secs, then repeat. This usually fixes the button, otherwise it simply comes back after a couple of days. Strange but true!!

Ground to wheel arch isn't accurate either. Different rolling diameter of tyres and uneven tyre pressures will mess with your numbers. I think you're meant to go from the centre of the wheel/hub/spigot to the top of the guard to get true measurements of changes in ride height. Legally I think it's measured from the lowest point of the vehicle down to the ground. Anyway, for Wayne, as my eyes see it, I'm on TRD SusKit and my car looks about the same as yours with your new spring/shock combo. My brother is on TEIN Superwagon and is at least 15mm lower than yours all round, but without sideskirts.

sorry to say but you are NOT covered by workcover or company insurance when you are travelling to and from work. The relevant legislation was changed 2 years ago to say that you are only covered whilst on official work duties, any travel to or from home or even lunch breaks are no longer covered. Also, if you have used your entitlement of sick leave, all that remains for you is to take leave without pay. They cannot fire you for being injured and unable to complete your duties, however if they do, depending on the size of the organisation you may be able to sue for unfair dismissal. Your best bet, as horrific as this sounds, is to go see one of those no win no fee accident lawyers, and see what case you have against the person who hit you. Sorry mate.

To make it a true short shifter you actually have to modify the pivot point a-la rollamods. If you just take an angle grinder and shear half the shaft off then you may as well just change gears with your hand half way down the stick as someone else said.

There's an easier way... you can take the whole light assembly out of the roof lining by putting a screw driver between it and the grey plastic. There's about 6 clippy things holding it in. Then you simply unplug the whole thing and you can take it out of the car and you don't have to do it upside down. Then to put it back in you just go plug-click-click and it's back.

A couple of tanks of Vortex 98 and maybe a little bottle of injector cleaner could give you the same gain for the same price

Spring rates can be changed... Most suspension manufacturers give you an option to choose whatever spring rates you want. Spring rates have nothing to do with what engine is in the car or whether that engine is heavier or anything stupid like that, it's more personal preference of how harsh you want the ride to be on the street. On the ZZE Corollas I've seen coilovers with springs rates between 3kg/mm and 10kg/mm.

natedog, any personal items in the car are yours to take, you should be able to go get them. Its only parts of the car and anything covered by the insurance policy ie stereo that u can't touch.

The Camry and Aurion are the same body shell right?? What's stopping you fitting Camry-spec coilovers to the Aurion? Most of the coilovers people here buy for the Corolla hatches are made for Corolla wagons in Japan... still fits.

I know the exhaust off a Sportivo hatch is the wrong length for a 1ZZFE Sedan... can't remember if it was too short or too long... One would asume too short

For a Corolla Sportivo (assuming this is your car) you want to get a nice 2.5" catback exhaust system made up with a sensible, brand name muffler on the end. Find a reputable exhaust shop in the Campbelltown area (assuming this is where you're from) and they should be able to fix you up. Check with the other Sydney boys for names of some good exhaust shops.
