  1. not the same on the caltex fuel my car detinated on the syn 8000 smooth as no changes to nething other then fuel Exactly the same. Obviously some other problem.
  2. They arent bad at all actually. Its the standard pads that are the problem, not the rotors.
  3. If only the advertising authorities would let us screen those blood and gore ones, heads hitting windscreens, limbs being crushed... They're probably the most effective.
  4. lol yaiya :) do you no neone from birsbane who own a zre15 Nah... I'm from the deep south
  5. Oh good. Only watched the first 10 secs
  6. Make sure you have them engineered to meet safety and legal requirements. I think the RTA can supply you with names and contact details of recognised engineers, might be different for your state though.
  7. Automatic :( Sound is in the 1ZZ-FE sort of territory
  8. On the TEIN Superwagons (a fairly low-range coilover system) you adjust ride height at the front without even taking the wheel off. C-spanners and hands fit between the guard and the top of the tyre (pictured) and nothing needs to be unbolted from the hub. The lower mount is not threaded (pictured). The rear requires the wheel taken off though, and it's harder to gain leverage on the spanners with more things in the way (pictured). Pretty simple job to do with a trolley jack and axle stands in the driveway. Yusman: I think that's as low as they go. Jimmy can't get his any lower either.
  9. It is illegal to fit a non-airbag steering wheel to a vehicle factory fitted with an airbag steering wheel...
  10. 205/55R16 might be an unusual size, could explain the extra cost
  11. They're actually manufactured in Taiwan, Micky Last time i checked, Taiwan was still in Asia....
  12. The Federals are a great tyre - much better than their asian equivilants. It depends what model tyre you are getting from Federal. I would assume at that price you are getting either the 595 SS or the 595 Evo. If you are getting the 535 you are getting ripped off. I have 595SS on the car now and they are awesome, and I have heard the same about the Evo. When I was doing the hillclimbs, I used both the 595SS first and then moved onto the 595RS. The RS is an awesome tyre, but not really useful for the road.
  13. My advice would be to put the original TEIN springs back in and wind the lower seat to the lowest position front and rear. If the car isn't as low as the above pics then there's something strange going on.
  14. ignoring FBT implications, my thoughts purely are... option 1 - 14k a year in your pocket, which you can spend on your car. After the contract period is up (i will assume 3 yrs) you still have your car which is worth some $$ option 2 - fully maintained tiida (incl fuel and maintenance) for 3 yrs, at the end you have nothing. Depends how much you drive, and how much a nice car is worth to you. I'd be going with option 1, but thats just me.
  15. bloody music festivals. I saw the title and I thought "soccer injury" cos I have a black shin cos I was playing the other night and the opposition keeper thought the best way to stop me scoring was to slide with his 2 feet into my shin. Needless to say it worked.
  16. They may be rice ready, but they are also global economic crisis ready.
  17. Where did you buy the fuel from? if its somewhere like a cheap independant, serves you right. If you filled up your car, and then went away for a few months and came back to the car, its your fault too. 1. Prove the fuel is contaminated. Its easy to say it is, much harder to prove it. 2. if the fuel is contaminated, ring the oil company, not the petrol station itself. How much access do you think the station franchisee/operator has to the petrol they receive? Answer - None. Oil company is responsible for the fuel people sell on behalf of them. 3. If no one is going to fix the car for you, just fix it yourself. Remove the tank, empty it (environmentally friendly way of course). Clean the tank, fuel lines, rails and injectors. Fill up with good quality high octane fuel.
  18. Its way more fun than you could ever imagine
  19. Nah man, the rolling circumference of the 205/45R17 rubber is actually around half-of-one-percent smaller than standard (195/55R16 if I remember correctly) so if anything it would do the opposite. What brand are the springs he put in?
  20. That's Andri's car. He's a member of OWF forum. He's currently pulling the engine out.
  21. My brother is on TEIN Superwagons with the original TEIN springs... Check out the difference. Are you sure they're wound all the way down? Surely if those springs are they only thing the bloke changed then they're the problem.
  22. No they wont. They dont waste time on street cars and tyre kickers. I was waiting for the reply, hence why I think Bill bought it up I know... I had Bill on the phone right after I posted that :P
