  7. thanks fellas-was just wondering as i know old mechanics yrs ago used to just change the oil every 5000 then the filter at 10000. thanks again corey
  8. gday all just wondering what you all think of changing the oil without changing the filter and if it can be done easily or not. you know drain the oil through the sump plug and just freshen with new oil. all opinions would be welcomed thanks and cheers corey
  9. excellent work aur3on-do we need to give you our address's or will you ask when they r in thanks matee-corey
  10. without trying to start an argument, they have been around for 3 yrs now and so far i havent heard of any 1 having probs with them,as you say only time will tell. but toyota being toyota i cant envisage a problem as they have always had pretty good gearbox's,how many old torana's used to get round with 5 speeds etc in them. anyways as you say-time will tell
  11. gday mate-do you have the owners manual-if you do all is explained in there. toyota says they dont need an elaborate running in time, just says to avoid heavy braking for first 300 km's,dont over rev engine excessively mainly for fuel consumption etc,do not tow for 800 or 1000km's/ with yr oil toyota says 15000,is really up to you if you wanna pay more and get it done more often, this amount of km's is the normal thing these days,as they say each to their own on this subject. cheers corey
  12. congrats and welcome to the aurion owners club
  13. have you tried arb or tjm-seems a bit excessive for the quality they would be-imo
  14. dont have a camry but an aurion which is roughly the same thing anyways would be keen for a cruise as long as its responsible and not stupidity
  15. maybe is his wifes car and she doesnt know-i would be very wary
  16. i have seen them on ebay for under a 100 but they still need to be coded to yr car
  17. Toyota screwed it up and it will always default to 4th when you change from 'S' to 'D'. Only exception is if your are going fast (above 150), it will default to 5th. I have had a case at low speeds where it defaults to 3rd though. It happens every now and again, and I can't purposely replicate it. thanks djkor-i have'nt even been to 150 yet-lol not too sure if i will-fastest i have been so far is 140 which didnt even seem fast compared to the old commodes and falcons i have had cheers corey
  18. this is my first toyota i have owned-however my old man had a 81 or 82 corona which although being a pice of s..t with aholden motor was pretty good for a young bloke flogging cars-lol
  19. when we had a loaner the excess was 1000 which isnt too bad compared to 2000
  20. just a quick ? do you guys find that after using the s and then put back to d that the next time you go to use s it always goes back to 4th or is it just my car thanks corey
  21. cool-thanks for all the info-greatly appreciated thanks corey
