It latched on and didn't let go. I was about to poke it in the eye then suddenly the owner is crying and she calls it's name which causes it to stop. Damn dream.

  3. Actually there is, but it still requires some custom pipework afterwards: http://www.monkeywrenchracing.com/product_info.php?cPath=318&products_id=1192 Personally, I beleive the gains to be made will be with the re-making of the y-pipe where the exhaust manifold from each cylinder bank merges. Is the TRD Aurion y-pipe the same as the one on the regular Aurion? If so, you're probably right as the y-pipe is terrible.
  4. The easiest way is upgrading your wheels to 18" which will give you the clearance you need but obviously this will come at extra cost. As The Viking mentioned already, the easiest way is the TRD Aurion brake upgrade as he did alot of trial and error with his Gen4 when he had it as his main car. Another option would be the Gen3 widebody brake upgrade with Supra rotors. 13" rotors, 2-pot cast iron calipers (from v6) and all you need to make up is a bracket for the calipers. Ask The Pharmacist about it as he is running that setup now.
  5. Damn mobile Internet, I can't check. But it is listed on the DBA website. Look for he details of the Chevrolet c5 rotors
  6. 325x32mm. For what it is worth, the Viking has confirmed the TRD setup will fit on 17"
  7. OMG. I'm screwed. I've got forged engine ideas in my head.

  8. Drilling the hole out to 62mm shouldn't be an issue and it would be the same as the TRD mod of drilling down from 120x5 to 114.3x5 but in the other direction (ie drilling from 5x100 to 5x114.3) The flare of the rims away from the centre of the rim may/may not give you enough clearance. For reference, The Viking tried a 4-pot setup (don't quote me, but I believe it was an R32 or similar) and he couldn't get them to fit in his Gen4 with 17" GTP rims. 11. If you weren't in the middle of BF Nowhere, I'd help but i couldn't make a trip out to your place then be back in time for the meet. Besides, how would you get home?
  12. I can't comment on the amount of work required for a swap to the 2gr, but with your brakes a simple change to slotted rotors and sportier pads will do the trick. The Gen6 calipers paired with slotted rotors are an excellent upgrade over standard.
  13. Of course, totally forgot about going standalone
  14. Just make sure there is enough clearance (depth wise) between the fully open caliper when mounted and your wheels. Also, non-OEM brake booster/brake master cylinder will undergo some scrutiny.
  15. Buying a bolt on kit will solve most of your 'what needs to be done issues' then it would just be a matter of ironing out any issues that come up during installation. I'm not sure if not having the ecu map makes it harder for the tuner to attach (as they need to tap into the right wires for the piggyback to operate, ignition, fuel etc). However, I found an ECU pinout for the ScionTC 2az-fe here: http://www.powerenterpriseusa.net/products/electric/camcon/ECU-data/tC%2007%20Pins.pdf . For the most part the pinouts should be the same but there may be one or two differences (the 1mz-fe pinout in the US is only slightly different to the AU 1mz). So really if you aren't confident tapping into your ECU harness. Buy a piggyback ECU (secondhand is good as you don't care for the harness you get, as there probably won't be a ready made one for the 2az), print out the ECU pinout and give it to your tuner. They'll do the rest.
  16. Had a word to The Viking and he said the moment you modify anything structural (ie welding your calipers) and they will go over it with a fine tooth comb (x-ray of the calipers etc). Also, with the Landcruiser calipers you may run into issues as to how it mounts to the hub (depending on which series you are looking at). In addition, you may run into clearance issues of your spokes if your wheels running a 4 pot setup as you need to factor in the extra travel required compared to a sliding setup (ie TRD Aurion setup). This is as there are now 2 pistons on both sides instead of just the inner side.
  17. I had a chat with the Viking regarding the kits and he told me that there was an issue with a particular kit (cant recall which one) required you to grind a part on the engine in order to allow the manifold to fit. This issue may not hold true across all kits as there may be variances from each manufacturer. Small mods like this are the nature of the beast anyway (that is, modding your car). As for the ECU wiring, that is why you have a tuner. Get them to wire it and tune it. It's their job!

    Body kit

Hrmmm... Is there a poking yourself in the eye option at all?
  19. That is one very nice looking Aurion. Alloys look great too.
