  1. so u think driveshaft is the culprit? if thats the case then i'm telling aami to fix it again becuz it was overhualed after i had the accident
  2. umm yeah i'm pretty sure my mechanic did them up tight... some things i cant really do myself so i'm just going to take it easy and see what my mechanic says on wednesday morning... hopefully its not a severe problem :(
  3. they in a box in the storeroom lol money is everything :(
  4. Yes flywheel bolts were changed and bushings were changed too. Sound would be too subtle to hear on video... :( Edit: also I just did remember a few days ago I heard a loud "donk" coming from the left. Thought I ran over something on the road but then I looked at the rear vision mirror and saw nothing. I didn't think twice about it afterwards but only noticed the sound yesterday
  5. Well as I said before the noise is similar to changing gears once the gear is locked in. Another noise that would be similar is when u stall the car its a "doof" sound but not as severe. Except this sound happens two times (doof-doof) and that's it. Only when clutch engages/shifting into gear (mainly 4th n 5th)
  6. i got mine in melbourne for $1250. they do install for $250 but i didnt install it through them. better get a professional as they all have the proper tools to install them.
  7. Xtreme was recommended by my mechanic. Have been very happy with the results ATM :)
  8. Crap... I hope it doesn't have to b that... :( I've only grinded it a few times (from clutch dragging). Surely that's not enough to screw it up! :(
  9. umm how many energy drink did he consume? hehe :P
  10. engine mounts are ruled out as i got the engine mount inserts to stop them from moving. the rears have also washers to keep them seated where they are supposed to... clutch was changed to xtreme HD clutch and xtreme lightened flywheel in january this year. to more accurately describe the noise. u know the "locking into gear noise when u change to the solid bearing for the gear selector cables. its like "clunk clunk" (but not as loud, have to listen very carefully to hear it). doens't happen over humps or bumps. thrust bearing def not it because no noise when i disengage the clutch/neutral.
  11. Hey guys. Did a search but didn't find what I was looking for. Anyways, I have a knocking noise coming from the engine bay when I engage my clutch upshifting/downshifting in gear when rolling. I also hear the knocking noise when I take off in 1st gear. Doesn't happen when I slowly release the clutch to engage. Knocking also happens when I'm tapping the gas pedal lightly in gear mainly in 3rd and 4th gears. Sometimes happens in 2nd. Knocking noise is not continuous. It happens only when the clutch grabs on to the flywheel. Knocking noise happens once or twice. Doesn't happen when I'm driving or cruising in gear or heavy acceleration. I know my mechanic did change the bearings when he put in the HD clutch and lightened flywheel so I hope its not something too serious. Anyone shed abit of light on this? Greatly appreciated Cheers
  12. very nice :)

  15. whoa, so freaken WIN!
  16. thanks folks. BC coils in all their glory Default ride height fronts 5kgs on 32mm and rears 4kgs on 22mm ride height looked abit lower than my superlows. no good so we raised it up 20mm dampers were set on 24 for every corner from factory so i put them all on 0 for the first 300 kms or week of driving so the springs settle. back on next saturday to finalise the settings for daily drive. the drive from pedders to home was very comfortable. also i did realise that the coils dont rebound as much as the stock shocks. braking is also much easier than it was with stockies . win win for me
  17. looks very nice... now get them moulded :P now now... no committing suicide yet... we still got 1:45.4 to beat!
  18. so he got coils instead BAHAHAHAHHAHA........ -_-
  19. oh yeah... i was at the same place where u got them installed to get my BCs installed...
  20. nice but need more pics plsssssss
  21. im with daryl. i've had no problems so far with aami. i think they were quite helpful and professional in their approach to my claim(s). in the end all my claims got done at my preferred repairer. who was in fact one of aami's preferred repairers as well. nice and clean shop and a rep to uphold i took my car back to them a couple of times to fix a little things here and there and they did it without having to get aami involved. even now there are a few things not 100% but hey, what is 100% these days?
  22. fresh new updates!!! 1) 3K foggies (thanks to dyslexik) they are a bit glarey so i will refrain from using them unless its really foggy :) plus the low beam HIDs are flicking off so need to change these lights asap. very dangerous while hitting lift at night and one of the lights turn off! Initial D styles! 2) buddy club BRs have come in yesterday! picked these bad boys up from OTR and they will be going in tomorrow at pedders in south melbourne. thinking of going back to 4WD height to let them settle in for 1000+ kms. 3) last not definately not the least... My new interior mods! and... Yes my wife just gave birth to a boy: Aaron, 2.78kgs 49.5cm tall and healthy and a hungry little monster! 27th of April 2011 at 2.28am now off to sleep... Kenshin out
