  2. He sure is. shifting on this knob is definately different. Can feel the gears more now locking in and out of gears
  3. I like his old knob better... ;)
  4. Got a couple of new interior mods thanks to Johnnieboi xoxo Razo silver light-weight aluminium gear-shift knob Broadway 270mm wide rear vision mirror
  5. still stalling it like a noob sometimes... :( Nah, not yet.. I need to find a place that sells the whole thing -.- probably Toyota Dealer don;t get one at the toyota dealer, one day you're free we will hunt around for a second hand one :)
  6. yeah he is good, but remember if u park ur car mainly inside, then i suggest u get the tips done at the one in springy. my car being black, it will crack easily and even now i'm desperately trying so it doesn't crack anymore than it already is. u have the base of the antenna already?
  7. Gonna go look for one this weekend man, I might go past that detailer you pointed out last time as well But it'll be very soon man detailer? can u get me a base too? how much will it cost? haha
  8. NOW i've updated myself on the posts in this thread, NOW i can ask what do you fellas need me to bring? Sorry trung! THIS TIME, we will make sure you get your 3 kgs worth of food to make up from last time HAHA :P i wish i could have fully read this sooner so i could have ordered the kransky sausages... gah... those are deadly but good... (for the first 2 bites LOL <_<)
  9. Old clutch was grabbing which caused the "crunching" sound. In actual fact mine was a deep whirring sound either happened when i changed from 1st to neutral or fom neutral to 2nd (while shifting from 1st to 2nd in lift.) the first three power shifts i did didnt crunch but i did cop a wheel spin/axle tramp in 2nd for half a second. And goz you're insane haha. When do we go do the base antenna swap??? Johns back btw :))
  10. +2 LOL, my number plates end with "969" nothing sexual... 9 is the highest number, for longevity! 6 is the lucky number in chinese culture woohoo! :D and also it doesn't matter how to orientate it its still either a 6 or a 9 :P Congrats on the sale btw. hope the new owner looks after it as much as u did :)
  11. all opinions are welcome mate, no matter even if its a flame, ;) it just stops me from doing things that are wrong yeah i wont be shifting past 4k from now on, i have shifted plenty even on the freeway a 100km/hr from 6th to 5th periodically just to get the in-out action happening. and yes i've googled enough to realise it is not good to drive hard until 500kms at least. i am trying to give reasons for driving around the city as i wanna clock up some ks for this clutch to bed in. the friction point is still abit high for my liking. however the original clutch before it carked it was at the same height. and this was like that ever since i bought it in aug 09. my mechanic said that i can give it a week and see how it goes, if the pedal is still high, he can adjust it to have it sit lower (so its touch and go). anyways whats done is done and i think i've had my little fun, i just hope the consequences of my little "fun" won't bite me in the bum after 6 months when the clutch slips again. i was thinking with brakes, i have to bed it in properly driving at 100km/hr then braking to like 30km/hr and then getting the speed up again to 100km/hr and repeating the cycle for 5 times, cruise for 5 mins to let them cool and then repeat the process again for 2 more times. my hp-x pads still didn't bed in properly and i had to do it a few more hard stops and goes before they bedded-in well. i was thinking with clutches and flywheels its the same (not the driving hard bit but the "bed-in process" requires the material from the clutch to transfer to the flywheel. i've stalled the car a few times again today... so i'm yet still getting used to the clutch being so "on-off type feeling" yet i don't want to "and never have until clutch has bedded-in" launched the car from stand still. i know for a fact that this is a no-no the most harsh driving i did was when i was lifting from 1st to 2nd and axle tramped for 0.5 seconds. also today i floored it at low revs in high gear and it seems to be still gripping ok, so i think it should be still ok... sorry for looooooooooong post...............................
  12. Yeah you're probably right... I didnt totally thrash it though. Just hit lift for a max 3 times with heavy shifting... Kinda was hanging for it lol... :P never dumped the clutch or did any wheelies. Mechanic said just drive it around abit with lots of shifting and i did this prior to hitting lift so it i think im right. He didnt specifically say how long i had to drive it for... i'll ring him up later and ask him again
  13. Nice pic but i like the one where u got all three in a line more :P
  14. took it for a photo shoot at the shrine of rememberance today (peter got the photos) and took it for a little harsher spin. 1) limiter still at 7.8k :( 2) axle tramp while landing in 2nd gear while no.2 can be fixed with the solid engine mounts, i'm pretty sure MOST stivos have their limiter at 8.2k. i'm starting to think whether my car went through the recall so long ago? what did the recall actually entail? this makes me impoosible to land in lift without abit of wheel spin/axle tramp. i've heard changing to a syn oil will raise the limiter to 8.2k. but not willing to spend extra money for that extra 400 rpm? i dunno... sigh... good thing is that now i'm shifting in lift from 1st to 2nd, i can feel the clutch is PROPERLY disengaged before i shift. which is good becuz that means no more crunching :) haven't stalled it again yet so i'm getting the hang of the new clutch feel now hehe ;)
  15. If you got time on Sunday or Monday we can catch up! I got day off on Monday. I hope so Vinh, prob get there Sun afternoon and leaving Tues morning so maybe either night for a quick bite and catch up.. Duy I would've liked to be there for Fridays meet :( dude pm me ur number, i believe i got something for you on sunday night... ;)
  16. i am seeing alot of stivos lately... i saw one in particular white 17 inch rims, wing tips and the number plate 1-mikey, was a black prefacelift too. i think he spotted me too. i think it was the green rims HAHA nice car mate, should get on the forums :)
  17. New clutch and flywheel in... ;) Pictures of the stock flywheel and rubbish clutch...apparently the owners before me and me took care of the clutch and flywheel very well and he could see from the way the burn marked the surface of each part Flywheel Which actually doesn't weight too bad... Didn't get to take the pictures of the new flywheel but the mechanic was nice and took one for him on his phone :P shiny the verdict: PORN DRIVING! the clutch feels very "on-off" feeling and u can certainly feel it grab. its also very soft compared to the stock one. i stalled it once when i drove it out too (noob). revs quicker and this is the first thing i noticed when i started rolling in 1st gear. i haven't planted my foot yet. i'm going to baby it for a few hundred kms with lots of shifting before i plant my foot. well worth the $1300 spent :)
  18. nah i didn't look at it to be honest but i know the xtreme clutch and flywheel are made from the best parts from all clutch + flywheel companies and build on around that. too late now haha... my new clutch and flywheel already in ;)
  19. new clutch + lightened flywheel = PORN DRIVING!!!
