  1. if the brake are warped in a short period of time u have a few possibilities: 1) rotors are undersized and for a 160,000 km car, if you haven't changed the rotors at all since the car came from factory, most likely rotors are worn down. get them checked by a local mechanic. if they other mechanic fixed them. he would have machined the rotors. if he has done this, then u would be loosing more meat on your rotors result them warping quicker from the heat generated under braking 2) pads are worn, do u hear a scraping noise when driving (not necessarily under braking)? these would be the squeal shims saying that u need to replace them. check the rears as well. one way to check if they rears are undersized/warped is to pull the handbrake up slowly at 60 to 100km/h speed and see if your car/seat vibrates. if they do, get them checked by the mechanic too NO SHORT CUTS OR CHEAP FIXES, bite the bullet and get them fixed once and properly! u don't want problems occurring again soon after they are fixed also try to change braking habits too and if u braked hard, just get off the brake as soon as the cars standing still and pull up that hand brake. if you got an auto chuck it on "P" As for your oil problem. 3 weeks is definitely too short of a time for the oil to be burning that quickly. its ok to have a bit of soot on the exhaust, that's engine oil + crude oil from fuel burning. I have soot on my exhaust tip as well. engine does consume a bit over time to lubricate the engine. how does the car run? fuel economy? rough, smooth? any tapping noise? black/blue/white smoke coming out of the exhaust. ask eviltwin asked "any oil leaks?" etc.
  2. haha i think your getting mixed up dude... it's Tim/Duy who bought them :P I should get photoshop going before i powdercoat/paint them. did guni have coils back then? i don't think i will put them on until i sort my coils out. i don't want my side walls to be destroyed like last track day :( i will be getting federals RSRs 205/50/r16 for 200 bucks a corner including fitted balance and alignment. I think it's a good price :) as for the time, i might try to shave a couple more seconds off this time with my current set up. even changing the tires changes the way it handles so i'll try to minimise the mods and work on my skill/lines next time i'm there ;)
  3. yeah i did lol... but i just dry wiped them for talal to look at after i drop lauren off work tomorrow morning ;) i need to clear the junk in my back port for these rims. i need to clean the back of the house anyways, too much crap there
  4. and i live 1 min away from johnnieboi :P go on firesport... may get some rims there... come with us to the next meet. the zre people can give u some ideas and stuff on modding your corolla
  5. grabbed these babies today from an EG civic owner locally for 200 bucks ROH Turismos :D 16x7, offset +40? (they fit on my car no worries) ;) one of them has bad scratches but they are for the track anyways so i'm not fussed. Though i would like these in white or bronze colour will get these checked by a professional tomorrow to see if there are any structural damages on the rims Now to wrap them in semis... and get coils for the track :D
  6. oh man that sucks balls... did you buy it brand new? maybe u can replace it where u bought it. as for the welding, maybe u can but i heard from whiteline themselves that the metal is made from "spring grade steel" not sure if the welds themselves are spring grade material or something. i think the TRD one and the ultra racing ones are slightly thicker. but if you really are stuck, then bite the bullet and buy a new one :( good luck p.s. i hope same thing doesn't happen to mine! :S

  19. lol wtf? where is this coming from haha! I returned it coz it was faulty, I'm quite meticulous when it comes to computers etc. Only quality parts, not some crap that'd break on me. lol maybe they just hate you although lately... they've been quiet, yesterday i came and asked for an ink cartridge, they said "we don't have it" im like, "wtf? you sell this product here, and then u don't sell the ink cartridges for this?" LOL
  20. oh yeah, i think with the stingy at returning stuff, i'm sure its for certain products. i've returned to them every part that was faulty with no problems. just now they opened the swapping dept just in case people do dodgys when the product isnt even faulty itself. so the process can be abit tedious...
  21. MSY is only good if you KNOW what your getting. i found centrecom to be quite good (the sunshine store). MSY won't give u any info on the graphics cards and sh#t. i also found that the MSY store is usually out of stock for the products i want. with the answer of "oh we don't know when we will get more in..." i usually wait weeks and still no stock so i end up going to centrecom anyways. its true if MSY don't stock it they can over inflate the price but they do have a match or price beat garantee. they will match the MSY price no questions asked up to you though. i was going from the fact that he just wanted a GFX inthe 100 too 200 dollar range. the MSY price list is also a nightmare to look at -_- also NVIDIA chipset +99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 my 0.00000000000000000000002 cents now mick, who will u make babies with NOW?
  22. HAHA LEE!!! ***that awkward moment when a grown man spells the word "cum(s)" instead of "come(s)" in a room full of men*** haha jokes lee. Sorry Reece i'm a terrible speller...i meant cumes, always forget that damn E. :P its alright... grown men makes mistakes as well
  23. honey, i'm looking for you now... xoxoxo
  24. if he said he had HIDs then yes they don't dim so i was assuming he had normal halogens because he didn't specify :P also i find that newer cars these days don't need the capacitor unless your running an insane super dooper mad fulli sik computer in your car i had one in my old corty because the alternator output was 35 amps -_-
