i use HPR5. its good enough even for the track. i upgraded to SIN5 since i tracked once in the summer and wanted the extra protection. i can get it at 45 bucks a bottle anyways for MT90, no additive

talking from first hand experience. friend kept crunching in 3rd, changed the oil to MT90 = fixed the crunching price wouldnt be THAT much of a difference. i need 3 bottles of castrol which is 25 bucks each and nulon additive 15 bucks. MT90 is around 120 bucks?

sorry im not from the area so i have no idea. but yeah just check reviews if there are any. i'm sure there are alot of competent ones in the area.

that person behind the counter deserves a kick in the head. go to another reputable mechanic to carry the work out for you. it will be also cheaper than having a toyota dealership do the job for u. theywill stamp it too

make SURE you see the mechanic drop the gear box oil. i'm sure it would have turned out a very watery consistency instead of normal oil where its thicker. my cars travelled 140k and i change the oil every 50k. i use castrol syntrax full synthetic 75W90 with a nulon G70 125ml additive. ever since then i used it, i rarely crunch the gears unless i get lazy :P the above oils mentioned do better when u have worn synchros. change to those or stop driving hard clutch will need adjustment, get a mechanic to do it so it gets done properly.

u shoulda tested how fast his reaction as when you pull up ur handbrake. and if he hits u, new rear bar and rear skirt while ur at it too. have no patience for tail gaters I'm pretty sure one was you lmao not sure though. get "easy out" from a hardware store and u have to drill a hole in the screw. those things aren't meant to be super tight, just nip them up and it will hold. most people wouldnt have the right tools so go to a machinist to get it out.

JC! just when u thought u seen engine sludge. how did u clean it on the car? i wouldn have taken all the internal parts off to clean it properly? more importantly how does it run now?
