Realistically unless you have a Sportivo, the newer Corollas aren't sporty. But who gives a Shiite? It's your car, you do whatever you do to it... for yourself. Not for others. And yes, that even applies to Old Mate who has the 99 excel that has the epic bodykit on it. I don't know many people who mod their car for someone else. +1. i always say this: "mate, its ONLY a corolla" with a smirk on my face

my mechanic used (probably the first time flush) at 75,000kms. came out nice and black. after this i religiously changed my oil every 5k and now i only have to flush every 30k and oil and filter change at 10k unless i track my car. engine failure? i think so because the cars have high kms on them and the sludge that forms in between the rings acts as a seal. removing these will wreck havoc on your engine, hence the failure. i've heard of some destroying seals but i think these days, most flushes are ok for the seals.

any flush is good. as long as u use it regularly (30k or so) u will be doing ur engine a very good favour :) for the sake of an extra 20 bucks max, its worth it i reckon in the long term. i personally use amsoil but u can use whatevers reputable.

lee, my corolla does the same. i think its not a design fault but its more like where the movement of air/wind goes. thats why u have to adjust the windscreen so u dont get the reverberation in your ears. i find out that if i leave the fronts down, the people in the rear suffer, if they open theirs and i keep mine closed i suffer :P

yes it was a brand new guard. he sanded back with 800 and then primed it and painted the colour on. prepsol every step of the way to maintain cleaniness. paint was the deltron PPG system, preparation i cannot fault. fresh paint would have been say... a few days old. and before you ask again, i was baked several times before it went out of the oven. leaving it to cure completely for 1 month wouldnt be good for him as he got other cars he has to do. i actually put the repeater lamp on, it didnt seem to clip on properly and i took it out and the paint chipped despite me being very very careful about it. i would think everyone would know what i chip is so i didnt take a photo of it. and now i hav another problem. the curve where the 1/4 panel goes into the fuel cap chipped as well. well i cannot tell whether its hair that got caught in the clear coat or whether it is a chip. but for now just for temp as i need the car, he squeezed in supa glue to temp seal the area so no rust can form. when i give it in when i'm ready, he will sand it all the way back to bare metal and do it again. sigh... how the hell can that have happened? the 1/4 panel was brand new as well. i'm SURE he prepared it properly unless one of u gurus have another way to prepare panels for paint?

i know the guy, he got a garage at the back right? he IS really good. he fixed my buckled wheel to 95% and no air leaks. i even tracked with them and got a 5 second improvement :P

i reckon caltex off macintyre road on ramp sunshine ave at 8-8.15am. i'm coming but only for a little bit as i got family commitments on the day. might give my car a wash (if terribly dirty) before hand at the kealba car wash just down the road next to BP if anyone wants to wash with me/for me :P

ITG is good, esp at the current rate exchange :) but i still go for a cheaper brand that ticks all the boxes ;)
