  1. I do 1/3 of a turn by hand after it makes contact. The oil filter on a Civic (EK) is a B***h to get to and always have to use a special claw to remove it come change oil time.
  2. 3A pod filter? If it's a dry filter, can you just use the vacuum to clean it? Or you can follow the DIY ITG pod filter maintenance guide in the workshop sub section. I use the K&N maint package. Comes with the liquid cleaning solution and an oil spray can for reoiling after air drying. You should have received instructions on how to clean your pod from 3A though.
  3. Think Guni's car sits at 2800rpm on 6th gear, as I read it somewhere a few weeks ago. Excellent for fuel mileage, hence he was able to do 800+kms on a full tank of petrol with approx 10 litres to spare. Post #522, clicky clicky - http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=26645&st=520
  4. Duy, ¥uri pm me back and said the ashtray bulb is a T5 which he pulled out of his 1zz with a long nosed plier. Is the 12v T5 bulb too? Yeh I will bring a slab of beer too... but Duy, your restricted to drinking it ONLY after you finsih working on our centre console lol. can we order fish & chips+burgers from your parents shop too? delivered?
  5. Spotted TOYTRD this evening Boundary rd intersection in North Melb. Are your headlights 8000K globes?
  6. yep, u can do the bulb change over for ashtray and 12v cig as well as invert my center console screens, while i work on your front bumper removal. Just don't blow any of my fuses lol...and i'll try not to lose any of the front bumper screws and clips...bahahahaha As for your TRD cai install, we have to follow the DIY workshop sub, as BKS had installed mine prior to the hand over of the white snail. As an additional guide, we can just look at how mine is setup and we should be A-OK
  7. Btw Duy, enough detailing the exterior panels and go spend some quality time detailing your engine bay :P
  8. It makes a difference dude. The whiteline comes with metal spacers. Cusco one I have installed now, the spacers are welded on. yes metal on metal is fine. Better to have the nuts tightened enough not for it to loosen while cornering. if the nuts lossen, they may end up shredding the bolt thread.
  9. lol thats so you, just like you smashed the two covers that cracked on u... so whos fault was that EH? LOL... well the wind blew the covers off on to the ground cracking the corners. So me hurling one of the covers accross the enclosed area towards the garage wall, was just to make sure noone can use it ever again...hehe. Well I bought a replacememt celica cover anyway for $50 off a JDM half cut ZZT231!
  10. Do mine then along with the ashtray bulb and console screen invert. :D
  11. I would just punch out the green plastic thing out of the ashtray. Did you also replace the 12v lighter bulb with an LED or just put a blue bulb condom over it?
  12. Also would like to know if it can be dimmed using the LED replacement bulbs. I've read that LED can't be dimmed. Duy, is there a dimming function on the Levin cluster like the Sportivo digital one has? If there is, you can try it to see if it does dim.
  13. ¥uri has done it in his corolla in the workshop submission posted by ZAV. Click the link and scroll to post #80 http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=6848&st=40 reckon you can do it too duy and add it to your DIY workshop submission?
  14. Hey duy, do you know how to replace the bulb in the ashtray? Mines busted and never knew it was meant to light up until i saw your DIY workshop submission
  15. Awesome dude! i need sunnies to sit in your car LOL!! next mod, strobe lights under neath your seats when you hit lift :P
  16. Goodluck at Winton guys... show the crowd Toyota power! moves like a snail down low, but screams like a banshee in Lift :P
  17. but some muzzas in my area now know that corollas are really something on a straight line too =)
  18. Got my car back from Pedders from yet another height adjustment. Perfect! not too low to scrape tow bar over the pavement at mildly steep driveways. Increased damper to 24 from 22. Exhaust bend piping no longer hits torsion beam. It has 20mm clearance with 2 decent size blokes sitting in the rear seats and with the rear wheel on the Pedders 45 degree sloped workshop driveway. Then another test with one of the guys in the right rear seat and me jumping like a monkey on the frame section of the boot. Had the other Pedders guy check clearance while I was jumping up and down (87kgs) and still had a good 10mm clearance for the exhaust bend over the torsion bar. So this weekend I'm going fishing/picnic at Port Arlington and i will find out if the pipe still touches the torsion beam (creates a a medium to loud rattling noise+vibrations) with a full car load of passengers plus fishing gear and BBQ food. However, I will still get the exhaust pipeline bend aligned right smack in the centre of the torsion beam to further increase the clearance of it. Thanks BKS for your exhaust workshop contact.
  19. Hey Hitokiri Battōsai... sending you a pm in regards to the coilovers, bushes and engine mounts.
  20. My car is back at Sth Melb Pedders today to have the height adjusted again. I will inquire the costs of the above for you later today and see how much they will sell you the XA Coilovers with install cost of all of the above. As for replacing engine mounts, since you track your car, maybe best to do a read up on BKS and KolourHero's member ride posts of their stivos when they owned them. They both had Energy Suspension Motor Mounts. However, cabin noise was increased. But as long as its good noise and not bad noise, i'm pretty sure you will love it.
  21. errr... DUY!!! I'm hoping you didnt misunderstand our phone converstaion yesterday in regards to buying 4 hose screw clips, when i said make sure you buy a big one so it wraps around the silicone connector lol. I didn't know you already had hose screw clips for the rubber connector from engine to cai. Now you only need another 2 for the bottom end of the cai that connects the 2.75" to 3" silicone converter from your cai to pod filter. BTW, having jerry cans will leave petrol odours in your car. You might get a headache from it...just speaking from experience. Can't wait to see your car roar with this p3nis extension installed =) hehehe
  22. Yeh my mate is getting your tyres. I made a bet with Talal that there was actually a Federal 595 EVO. He said no as he just got off the phone with the AU Federal supplier. I said my friend gets free install if i proved him wrong and he shook hands on it lol. So i rip out my iphone and show him Guni's picture of the Evos...he quickly got back on the phone with his Federal distributor. They told him that it was prob ordered OS and the reason why they haven't been released in AU yet is because they havent been granted compliance by the aust road authority, etc. He then said that if anything was to happen to the Evos, then AU Federal will not be liable for any damages it will cause to the vehicle or any manufacturing defects it may have, as it is not been by manufactured by AU Federal. He was also hesitant to give the same price you got - $520 fitted and balanced. But since I proved him wrong, he was willing to do it for my mate for the same price plus $30 for alignment. So he ordered them and said it will take 30mins to have the entire car done lol. So my friend should be taking half day off at work to drive back there form the city and get rid of his very bold bridgestone RE001's with the rear right having a nail wedge inside it. GG Blardy google maps has the guys shop listed accross the train tracks and my friend and I firstly drove to Munroe Ave from Berkshire rd...which ended up being a closed road after 1.5kms lol. It's just off MCIntyre rd and his shop is meant to be 121-122 not 21. My mate is all happy now, took us 5 tyre shops to get good tyres for $520 instead of him paying min $900 as quoted by others. So the savings he made yesterday is going into his purchase of TWM SS package. =)
  23. TOYTRD sighted driving past me off Citilink - Flemington road exit. I knew it was him even though I didn't see the licence plate.... the black roof is so awesome!!!
  24. maybe, because they also see a row of asian guys next to the line of rollas, so the random stivo drivers do not stop to say hello, as he/she might think you asian guys will steal his/her ride. bahahahahahaha
