  1. No more painting plastic stuff lol. I'm over it. I wanna replace this sub with a smaller JBL sub+box. This one takes up so much room.
  2. New celica engine cover - bought from Toyrolla Spares off a half cut JDM celica $50!! Gold plated audio terminals with soldered wires. Bolted down Kenwood amp to the boot plywood panel behind the rear seats. Amp all wired up neatly.
  3. Under $2000. It has 30 damper settings. I set them at 22 front/rear for daily driving with my current economy tyres. Zero-2 has much harsher damper settings from 1 to 5, but are still very good for what they were made for in Japan - smoother roads not crappy bumpy Melbourne roads. Teins... I can't really comment from experience, but I've heard from the pedders sth melb blokes that one client got them to install a set of Teins coilovers in his car and then the driver came back several weeks later saying that the Teins were too soft. I couldn't pass up the offer of having the free installation due to previously spending $300 for the install of dodgy used Cusco zero-2s (slab of Asahi beer went to them), height, bump and rebound damper and camber adjustments, alignment and 2 years warranty for the Extreme XA coilovers. Their service is second to none and any hiccups can be dealt with very minimal downtime. Part replacements are just a phone call away/delivered from their warehouse in Port Melbourne too. So thats my reasoning of running with the Pedders coilovers, as I've also seen them handle extremely well driving behind 1stKill at the last melb meet at Mt.Dandy. As long as they are finely tuned to your driving style and requirements... then you will be :) Bilstein being top of the range, best of the best minimum $5000 for a set of coilovers. I would go defintely invest in a set of Bilstein coilovers if I had a car that had a market value of +$50,000.
  4. oooh aaaaah... do you feel like your in a nice club/bar with those blue lights duy? =) excellent mate!
  5. ages away lol...i still got plenty of tread. But My mate needs new tyres bad! His bridgestone RE001 is so bald and rear right has a nail wedge in it lol, but not deflating. he actually is looking to fit them on today as he is leaving work soon to get it done. I showed him ur tyres and told him to go to the shop u went too.... his house is just like 2 min drive from there too.
  6. not sure mate, they fix cars for insurance jobs... how about getting a strong vacuum cleaner that has tremendous sucking power and put a tea towel over the dented panel. maybe the device at the panel shops is a magnetic machine not so much a vacuum type machine.
  7. omg $200? so all this time he asked his mates how much he can rip u off for? wot a douche bag. You said plastic engine cover right? Or was he an ESL dude and misunderstood "the plastic engine cover" for "metal engine head cover"? There are panel workshops near my work who use some sort of machine that sucks out the small dents on the car panels.

    KRudd vs. JGill

To some it up in a sentence ladies and gentlemen: Aust voted in one conceited prick to replace the other conceited prick, only to be replaced by a complete educated bogan!
  9. The lighter it is from stock, the less inertia it has. Thus, it will affect you landing in the "Lift" power band if your shifting is too slow. If you are already having trouble of shifting within Lift zone with the stock flywheel, then you will have more difficulty with a lightened flywheel. But if you are good at adapting and are able to learn to successfully shift a lot faster, then a lightened flywheel will be of great benefit to you.
  10. sweet...thanks man. Tell him you need to supercharge your engine with it adding 200 killawasps =P
  11. you forgot the "T", hence ZZT-231. I think they wouldnt differ as its the same engine. Just make sure the screw holes line up in your own engine bay to make sure. I was so ticked off this morning... i threw one of them towards the garage brick wall shattering it even more lol. *sif* spent 5 hours last night getting the paint on it nice and even and using my heat gun to dry it faster so I can do a few more layers on them. If you manage to find one, I'm just gonna install it as it is, i seriously CBF painting it red anymore X_x
  12. OMG $520 for tyres, fitting, balancing and alignment??? Thats super dooper cheap! When i need new tyres, hook me up too yo!
  13. Was hoping if you could get one for me cheaper than $50 with no cracks from the wreckers you went too for your levin dash I had them air drying after respraying them on top of those white portable clothes hangers we use to put laundry such as bathroom towels on. The area was enclosed except one side with a roof over it too. gg The entire thing tipped over and my stock one has a massive crack on the top right where the screw goes in and the celica cover has a crack on the bottom left where the screw goes in.
  14. hehehehe... I will sell em for $400 to your wife if you can get me a celica (ZZT231) engine cover like the one on the attached photo. It will be black when you buy it at the wreckers. Just make sure it fits your car, as then it will definitely fit mine. I had both my engine covers crack on the ground due to the wind over night, as I had left them out to air dry after respraying both to a deep red colour. =( So I threw both of them out.
  15. BTW Duy, I'm willing to sell you my KYB struts for $450 if you want. Then you can try and bargain install cost with the boys from $150 down to $100 and either give the dude a nice pemium 6 pack of beer or a slab depending on how gracious you are. K GO!!! tee-hee-hee... $450 yo! bbq for u! WOuld be $400 if you were a pretty nice and friendly looking chick =)
  16. imo, have the front right replaced with the dba slotted rotor (DBA 759SR) too and it will also look better and perform better with your left rotor (DBA 759SL). Btw, looking at my notes now: I had been quoted $185 per rotor ($370 pair) for the street series slotted dba rotors stated above. That was from Bursons in the city. Why did mohammed charge you $250 a piece?
  17. That is correct SD. My decision on this topic can be found on post #37 http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=27747
  18. Looking awesome dude. The paint is immaculate!! I can see the reflection of the clouds on your bonnet =) Question: Why did you only have the front left rotor replaced? I think they should be replaced in pairs so that you will get even wear. I'm assuming the reason why you had uneven stock rotors was because your friend (prev owner) may have did something similar and either bought a new front right rotor or one from the wreckers, thus resulting to uneven wear with the left front having 4mm diff to the right?
  19. An update on my car today. I have chosen to forgo with replacing the front left strut of the Cusco zero-2 coilover. The cost of $700 is not justifiable as for that price, I can get the entire left front coilover. In addition, it will also leave me with 3 other worn coilovers (front right and rears) and if they so happen to fail in the near future, then the cost of having them fixed would pretty much amount to the cost of a new set of cuscos coilovers (zero-3 with in-cabin electronic damper adjustment perhaps). In my opinion, I would have both front struts replaced at least, but having all 4 replaced would be ideal, so that they will be even in regards to performance. But $1400 or $ 2800 respectively is just to much to recondition second hand cusco zero-2 coilovers without knowing how they have been treated. I suspect that these had been passed down several times, as I would be the 4th person to have them. My friend had them installed in his car for about 10,000kms and doesnt drive his car that hard on corners/twisties. He had bought them from his mate in Sydney who had them installed in his corolla that was a autosalon show car. Other than that, no further info. My car today is being fitted with Pedders Sports Ryder Extreme XA coilovers with camber bolts. I am unable to upgrade to pillow ball mounts with camber plate as they do not make the actual pillow ball mounting plate for this corolla model. However, pillow ball mounts have a schedule replacement period of 40,000kms until it starts making noise. But having rubber mounting bushings will never make noise and will last longer. If they ever need replacing it's a whole lot cheaper getting the bushes replaced compared to replacing pillow ball mounts. Will post new pics of her new stance when i get around to it this weekend. Free installation for me (as i previously paid them $300 to install the Cusco which turned out to be dodgy), 2 years warranty, fantastic service by the 2 blokes who look after my car and go out of their way to fine tune the suspension according to my requirements.... what more can one ask for? win/win situation
  20. I have a panda one :D http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksid=p4522.m570.l1313&_nkw=panda+big+face&_sacat=See-All-Categories
  21. Anyone interested in KYB shocks and King Springs low combo? *clicky* http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=28371
  22. if it was, I would of snapped the stick...lol made in china...bahahaha. Jap build quality fundamentally is of a higher standard and pukes all over chinese exports.
  23. It will depend on the individual. I'm 5"11 and my arms are quite long. shifting from 1st to 2nd on stock shifter was a bit annoying, as my elbow would hit the side of the front passenger seat. That's because the damn stick was so high. I bought a TRD QS, but didn't drive the car with it installed. The shift felt shorter, but again, the stick was still quite tall. Shift stroke is shorter, but throw distance was relatively similar to stock. TWM SS is heaps better. Shorter and my arm feels comfortable when shifting. Accompanied with the weighted gearknob, it's fantastic. Throw distance dramatically reduced, but shift stroke remains unchanged. But really, you won't ever know until you try it though. If I was in the "Can be f**ked" mood, then I would of kept the TRD QS as the shift is quicker than the TWM and would of brought it to a professional machinist and had the height chopped another 1.5-2 inches. Then find high quality replacement screws for the TRD QS base, as the TRD retard/s designed the holes too big for the stock screws to be used. The designer was probably 150cm tall with short arms, which probably explains the height of the TRD QS stick too lol.
