  1. new addition - my new 2" knob has arrived and installed TWM Type R 440g shift knob - Gun Metal finish
  2. mine is not cluncky. It's just stubborn at times (mostly when it's cold) and need some muscle to get it into 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear sometimes. But when the gearbox oil is in the warm temp range, each gear is much smoother. Thus, very temperamental. I will try BKS combo of Nulon Super Smooth 75w90 MT oil with the Nulon G70 additive before summer starts.
  3. What noise? All i hear is my candy red vacuum cleaner in the engine bay. :D Ever since installing the weathershields on my car, wind noise had been reduced dramatically. Its very practical for me as I'd rather have my windows slightly open rather than have the aircon on (consumes more petrol) to get rid of the fog on my windscreen/windows. The car runs more efficiently and frankly a little bit of wind noise without the wind and rain getting into the cabin is a fair compromise to prevent my windscreen from fogging up. My smoked weathershields is also good for summer. I have the windows down (20mm) to let out the cabin heat build up when the temp outside is cooler (but sunny as) than inside the car, thus no point having the aircon turned on, whilst on the fwy. It also blocks out the sunrays going into the car and blinding me while driving. It's also good for when I use to smoke in the car. I didn't have to worry about having the wind blow out my ciggie when I had my windows down, or have the wind burn it so fast that I could only get 2 puffs out of it instead of the usual 8-10. As for having windows down in winter, I turn on the heater and increase the temp to offset the coldness from outside... common sense really :P
  4. Hahahaha... well now you know there is another way to purge KFC from your body without requiring you to stick your finger down your throat. Just don't let it come out the other end or we would be swapping my front passnger seat with your clean one :P I adapted very quickly to your silky smooth gearbox. I don't know why mine is still so stiff and so notchy even with the Redline MT-90 in it. Maybe its because I have solid gear selector cable bushings compared to the rubber ones. But yeh, after driving your car, I ended up cruching 2nd in my car, as I was still shifting the way I did in your car - without effort. Then after that crunch, I quickly adapted to my own gearbox again and was back in the ball game having to give more muscle power to push/pull each shift into gear. Let me know when you have solid gear selector cable bushings installed so I can sit in your car and see if its still smooth as silk. My mate's stock stivo shifts so smoothly too. Hence, I'm assuming its because of the rubber gear selector cable bushings.
  5. I was getting a bit of scrubbing only at the front tyres when I was actually cornering hard or when i drove over dips on the roads. At that time, I had the Pedders camber bolts set at -1 degree with the dampers set at 22 and ride height 535mm front / 540mm rear. I currently don't have any issues of scrubbing having the car setup at 545mm front/555mm rear, -1.5 degree camber, dampers at 24. But I'm only running this setup until the exhaust piping problem is finally fixed. Once fixed, I will go back to my ideal ride height of 535mm front/540mm rear, -1.5 degree camber and damper setting at 24+. Hopefully, the increase in camber and having the dampers set at 24 or more will ensure I don't scrub at all. I reckon 540mm front / 545mm rear for ride height with dampers set at 18- would be more comfortable for daily driving for you. But then again, your in Brisbane which generally has more smoother roads than Melbourne. Basically the sky's the limit for you =) I hope you don't live in Springhill and Fortitude Valley, it's so hilly there. Hence, you might create some unique artwork on the pavement with your tow bar and muffler by running a very low ride height. My advice is to just do trial and error. you can begin with my above settings and work from there to save you time. If you had bought new Pedders coilovers, I'm pretty sure the boys at the Pedders shop you bought them off can tweak it free of charge until you are satisfied with the final settings. But be considerate of their time as well. It's mainly the camber and ride height adjustment you need the boys to tinker with, as the damper settings can be adjusted anytime by yourself, assuming you know how to remove the rear panels to access the rear dampers. Most importantly, don't forget a 6 pack or slab of beer for them too, they will "love you long time!"
  6. Ever since I installed the Toyota slimline weather shields, I haven't had a problem with windows fogging up while driving. Simply, have the windows slightly open to release the moisture build up in the car, turn on the heater to keep warm and the weathershields does it's job by blocking out the wind and rain from coming inside the cabin. It's a costly investment, but blardy works a treat!
  7. It used to be cheaper on Tues morning until Wed evening. Now it has changed in Melbourne from Fri morning over the weekend. VICTORIA Friday 5.40pm Glenroy BP Ultimate 133.xx c/L - for Corolla Sportivo Friday 5.45pm Broadmeadows Mobil normal unleaded 122.xx c/L - for Civic
  8. My current ride height is 545mm front and 555mm rear. If the exhaust bend piping didn't hit my torsion beam, I would have the left the ride height at 535mm front and 540mm rear. At this height, it clears most driveways if driven up/down on an angle. Once I get the exhaust pipeline bend fixed... I will drop the height back to 535mm F/ 540mm R. I have camber bolts set at -1.5
  9. Looks good and so will bronze or white on a black car.
  10. very nice dude. Be sure to come to our future meets and cruises. One is coming up this month on the 25th (Sunday) - http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=27523 18 months?!?!?! Time to get new photos of her =)
  11. $78 for RP... per quart (0.96L) or for 5L? I would do the change oil according to mileage.

  13. i wanted to do exactly this... but there isnt any in melb! :( Duy, http://www.lubetech.com.au (QLD based - highly reputable). They have many interstate clients as well. I have also been informed by my private oil supplier that he knows of a Melbourne based one in Uppper Heidelberg area.
  14. Hilarious **Eat Da Poo Poo - Autotune Remix**
  15. buy the ZZT231 engine cover Duy. Looks better and it still hides the wiring at the front of the engine.
  16. FYI: "All Pedders Sports Ryder coils are manufactured at our Spring manufacturing plant located at Pedders Suspension Head Office in Keysborough Victoria Australia". - http://www.pedders.com.au/products/51/69
  17. As long as I don't drop the soap right? tee-hee-hee Haven't been to Domenic yet BKS, I didn't have time this week to go. But I will give him a call next tues on my day off to see if he is free to make me a new SS mandrel bend over the torsion bar. As for Pedders Sth Melb, the fiesta is owned by Reade, one of the 2 proprietors, the other taller bloke being Ben. Just mention my name and they will look after you. I've already pm'd KenshinX of the deal they can do for him too.
  18. Ordered soemthing thats 2" long =) Now just waiting for it to come....
  19. DUUUUUYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!! mr.sam is selling his Cusco zero-2s for $1500... gg Quick sell a kidney and jump on them now lol. as new condition.
  20. You've posted in the incorrect section dude. Group Buy Subforum is located in the Buyers and Sellers Corner . See below: http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showforum=37
  21. I set up my car to be 24 at the fronts and rear. Little bumpy, but thats the sacrifice I'm willing to take, to reduce the body roll a tad bit more. Setting it at 22 was still smooth over any sized speed bumps, but at this setting, my car still had a slight lean in at the fronts when cornering hard. If I wanted a much more comfy ride quality for daily driving, i would set them at 13. I've also had my ride height adjusted to have a 10mm rake stance. This helps with launching and reduces the load transfer from front to back. I also have Pedders camber bolts installed and they have been set at -1.5 degrees. In addition, I have a Cusco front strut brace and Whiteline 22mm rear sway bar installed which helps to evenly distribute weight transfer from cornering hard, thus reduce body roll to the amount I feel that is acceptable to my driving style. I would advise you to just test drive your car adding increments of 2 in the damper dials to test which setting best suits you. Find a place that is quiet on a Sunday, usually an industrial area with a couple of corners and it's basically trial and error.
  22. OMG, should of listed this 2 weeks ago, I would of snapped them up in no time if you claim they are in "as new" condition! Got pics of the rear strut bar? thickness?
  23. This is Danthuyer's post of POD filter maint. http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=4904 ITG Pod filter maint guide: Are you sure your 3A pod filter is meant to be oiled? Look at the PDF as it states its a DRY type, not like the K&N which is oiled. Better get on the phone with 3A to confirm if its meant to be dry or oiled and also ask them if they have any guides to maintaining their filter.
