  1. yah no doubt it was me, but I wasn't tail gating anyone though. Just wanted to get away from the lunatic driver in the 4x4 pick up truck who came awfully fast up my rear end and suddenly swerved into the left lane at the last second coming to the traffic lights after the Shell Petrol station.
  2. How's the disco lights coming duy? hehe... "Disco-Disco, Good-Good... Disco-Disco, Good-Good"
  3. I've contacted a Cusco distributor in QLD http://www.cusco.co.jp/en/distributor/ --> http://www.999automotive.com.au/index.html and spoke to Geraldine. She said they too also don't have the tools to take apart the Cusco strut itself. The best thing is to have my front left coil posted to them and have the old strut replaced with a new one from Japan. She will also have the mechanics put in a new 6mm rubber seat and bump stopper for free. They also use TSR for all their sports motoring suspension work, but with Bilstein suspension setups only. Total cost is approx $700 or less delivered back to my door. Breakdown of cost: $510 new strut $190 Labour + Delivery $Nil 6mm rubber seat & bump stopper mmm...what to do, what to do????
  4. Ahh TSR...was looking at their website this morning. why must everything be in QLD lol. Cheers SD. This one is in Melb http://www.advancedjapautoimports.com.au/suspensions_coilovers.html as well as a couple of others in the west side. --> Just got off the phone with these guys, they don't do rebuilds =( Still waiting for callback from TSR. Received callback from Chaser Motorworks and they referred me to their contact whom they get their suspension work done there. http://www.centrelinesuspension.com.au/ Hopefully, these guys will be familiar with Cusco zero series as they live about 15 mins drive from my house too. --> Just spoke to Chris and he suspects the noise may be due to a worn rubber seat and the spring may have gone through the seat itself knocking on the pillow ball mount. He also mentioned the noise may be coming from the front strut or even worn bushes from experience. Only problem is that, he wouldn’t be able to get Cusco parts and doesn't have the tools to re-gas/oil the coil itself back together. They specialise in Koni, Pedders and Bilstein suspension. I will book my car in on my next rdo to get the noise problem diagnosed. Worse case scenario is, if they can't get replacement parts and fix it, I will need to ship the front left coil to TSR, if they are able to rebuild it.
  5. nup, wasn't me dude...was at home sleeping until 1pm.
  6. mm... when was this? MH traffic lights? I don't intentionally tail gate people dude. I worked too hard on doing the JDM black headlight mod just to have something happen to them by a random bloke/shiela jumping on their brakes in front of me.
  7. I just looked over the Cusco zero2 scanned PDF guide you had quoted in the workshop and also an info sheet of the zero2's from the Cusco website. I'm hoping that the noise problem is simply due to a worn 6mm rubber seat used in the coils to reduce spring contact noise or the specifically designed bump rubber. Thanks for your help SD, look forward to hearing from you soon.
  8. Shifting feels good, prob the same as BKS's kit though. The reason I bought the TWM bushings was to try it out since I was buying the TWM SS package.
  9. Anyone know where in Melb I can get my cusco zero-2 coils rebuilt? There is still a bit of noise on the front left and its suspected that something is worn inside the struts itself. It has been tested on a suspension machine and also can be heard slightly on the road. Also, there is no more noise from the pillow ball mounts and camber plate as they have been replaced with new ones already.
  10. I go to the one in South Melb, just around the corner from my work. :)
  11. Btw, what brand of CB radio should I buy and where should I buy it? Any specs I need to look out for?
  12. yah, as in - if I can be bothered waking up at 5.30am on a Sunday, for the 6.30am rendezvous. :P
  13. Would the gasket/crush washer ever need to be replaced with a new one? Do you use a hose clip or cable tie to keep the lever more secure?
  14. My brake specialist said to me: "If your gonna get anything that has a cross drilled design and will defintely not break like others including DBA do on track, then Brembos is the way to go as they are simply the best of the best."
  15. oooohhhh aaahhhhhh.... if i come, both our cars will be mirror images of each other :)
  16. ooh me me me... make one for me too :P High chance I would be able to make the recon run. Spotted a black sportivo this morning on Pascoe Vale road before entering Citylink Fwy. Looked stock from the rear as the driver kept speeding away lol.

  18. I had my Cusco Zero-2 coilovers installed on the weekend. Bought them off a mate. So much firmer in regards to handling on bends and corners. Unfortunately, I had to replace the overly worn pillow ball mounts as they made excessive noise with the front left having 1mm free play and the right front having 4mm free play. Very noticeable on rough roads, driving up driveways and speed humps making loud clunking noises. (edited) Just fortunate, the bottom of the Pedder's pillow ball mounts - the camber metal piece was able to fit in the Cuscos. Labour expense for me for the installation with ride height and camber adjustments as well as alignment came to a total of $300 on a Saturday with no pre-booking!! They worked on my car after hours and never try to rip me off like some others would think. It’s probably, because I show my gratitude for their kind and honest service by providing them with James Boags Premium and Hoegaardens every time they work on my car, treating it as if it was their own.
  19. Why not just plug up the hole and drive your car when it's raining to see if that fixes your problem.
  20. Pretty sure it would be illegal to sell the car like that. Just the same as selling a car with it's mileage clocked back. http://www.consumer.vic.gov.au/CA256F2B00231FE5/page/2010-April-Dodgy+Car+Dealer+Fined+and+Buyers+Compensated+in+Odometer+Tampering+Case?OpenDocument&1=0-2010~&2=15-April~&3=0-Dodgy+Car+Dealer+Fined+and+Buyers+Compensated+in+Odometer+Tampering+Case~
  21. Are you sure the noise is not coming from the Charcoal Canister as circled in green in the attached picture? If it is, it is the tiny ball bearing inside it that is making the rattle noise at idle. I was informed by Toyota service centre that it wasn't an issue and if I was annoyed at the noise, then it can be replaced. I think the dude told me it was $350 new.
  22. Imo, do the black headlight surround mod Lee. It will compliment your black front grille and make her look even more aggressive. Those tyres are so HOT!!! Is it possible to get PHat tyres on my stock sportivo rims?
