  1. yes u r right, was confused there with all those name :P , anyway, back on topic, so these 3sge BEAMS have lift, and other goodies over the stock ones, so that means theres no lift on stock ones?
  2. no, because i always have 98 in, no matter what brand as long as its 98, similar thing happen to mine, it was cutting in at 7000rpm, and than 7600? and now 7800/7900rpm, some time 8000, some time 8200......anyway the car is waiting for me to reset it when i have time :)
  3. i was watching some jap dvd b4 and there was a jap spec lexus is200 had these engine in it, ever since than iam interested in these engine, but i dont really know about these engine,all i know is it revs to 8500rpm(redline only), how is the street version 3s ge compare to our 2zzge? is it heaps heavier?
  4. by the sounds of it yours is zze122-ascent, conquest and etc, 2zz is the code name for sportivo engine, as to which mod to get first, maybe check the BUY AND SELL section and GROUP BUY section see if anything u wanted is on there, get it while its cheap :) and welcome to the forum
  5. $2000 onwards is probably mainly for racing, forged, light weight etc, but something a bit more than 1000 is enough for street use i reckon, unless u do FAST AND FURIOUS or INITIAL D style :P but tahn again i just found out the rims on mine(put on by the exowner) is only 900 bucks with tyres :( ....., and i ran into a gutter once, pretty hard too, and didnt do a thing to it if u really like it than buy it as u said they have a reputation to keep

  7. i also saw a green lancer with the usual wish list on the side, trd, mugen, apexi, blitz, tom's, but it look stock as hell, dont even have an aftermarket muffler, just a pissy small stocker

  9. i too think dc5s looks better, i always like coupe better than anything else, but for a hatch i reckon it looks good, very modern love those exhaust pipes, and i reckon it will keep its value too specially when theres a red k20 in it

  14. mine was fine when i first got it cut out at 8200rpm, i didnt have heaps of petrol in once(it still goes but the light came on for a long time) ever since than it cuts out at 8000rpm, i thought a new ecu would of fix it, just strange to me that the memory from the old ecu is carried over to the new one....anyway i will try and reset it
  15. i think she will get use to it, even if its a bit harder to drive, i learnt to drive with a high reving car(which i believe its harder to drive than normal manual car due to not much torque at lower end) and it took me just as much time as my friend try to learn with an excel, just put the HD clutch in and tell her its just an oem clutch

  17. I'm no expert, but this is how I understand it. Here's an example. You're in 4th gear and want to go to 3rd gear. Press clutch in, shift gear to neutral & release clutch. Jab the throttle with the right foot, Press clutch in and shift to 3rd and release clutch. why not just press the clutch in and jab the throttle??
  18. i had the same problem b4 i went to toyota, thats the bit that worries me, because some members on here had this problem and they solved it by resetting the ecu, and i went to toyota to replace my ecu with a new one by the ecu recall, and the same problem is still there, with a new ecu shouldnt it be 'starting fresh'?
  19. hi guys need help again b4 i went to the ecu recall the rev limiter kicks in at about 8000rpm, some time 7800rpm, went to the ecu recall, so there should be a new ecu in my car, but rev limiter still kickin in at the same point!! the car is warmed up and everything, i thought the new ecu would solve this problem, hopefully they didnt just put some octane booster in instead of new ecu, what do ya guys think the problem is????
  20. Chris confirms the s12 is louder then the 10 he also mentioned to check wat stock you are buying a X-Force are getting rid of old stock for revamped stuff coming in the next month or two.... apparently the newer stuff is of a better build quality. and a shorter tip, so it should look better
  21. i think it looks a bit tall with those rims without a bodykit, but 400!! very cheap
