I am getting my car serviced soon, and wanted to put Royal purple 5W-30, that should be alright? shouldnt it? and anyone used royal purple before in the aurion? any difference? Also...someone told me that royal purple only lasts a short time compared to most of the other oils, he said anywhere between 2500 - 4000 kms is that true? If it is, its a big price to pay for quality . I don't mind spending the $100 for 5litres, will that be enough? but changing it every 4000kms wouldnt be cheap as i do about 150 - 200 kms / day.

Not only that, if you mess with your rolling diameter to the point that it is a fair bit of a change (3% is usually the maximum change recommended), if this is in the negative direction (smaller) then that means that for a given speed, your wheels will be rotating faster. Because he is trying to get those (hopefully by the last bid) cheap 18 inch 'anz' wheels on eBay. Tires in 235/40R18 are more common and therefore cheaper than tires in the size of 235/45R18. Personally, if you are going to do something, do it right instead of trying to just save yourself some money at the expense of your own safety etc. If u dont mind, could someone please explain to me the safety risk involved here? or link me to where it was explained and also what the middle number before the 'R' means. I'm hearing you there, my TRD is like a child to me, i don't let it out of my sight, when i do i would walk around it on return to make sure the paint hasn't faded from someone even looking at it to closely. yep the feeling Ive had for 2 weeks since it happened, i couldn't explain how i feel, very mixed. I personally don't recommend it due to glare related issues. Sure enough people say they will turn it off etc when there are other cars around... but seriously, how many do you think would actually do that? If you live out in the country etc and will only use them accordingly when no others are around, then go for it. But if you are going to be an idiot and drive with them on around other cars, then do everyone a favour and just don't do it. Also, well aimed headlights and HID high beams would be more effective at giving your night time illumination because fog lights generally are aimed close to the front of your car which can reduce your distance viability believe it or not. Thats fair enough, makes sense. If i wanted to change the bulbs to a different temperature later on, i'd only have to put a different bulb in yes? I don't have to touch the ballasts? And is it worth paying extra for slimline ballasts? or they only make the slightest of differences?

I am also considering getting a HID kit next week, what do u guys think about converting the fogs to HIDs ?... Is there any specific advantage? Any thoughts or advice on this...? ebay

YESSS!!! finally, i was about to post this up aswell, a sulphur type smell which i am fairly sure it's from the exhaust aswell. When i drive normaly (<2500 rpm) theres no problem but when u give her a good fangin, (>4000 rpm) theres a foul smell. :( Any light shed on this would be helpful :)

I second that, i went into Liverpool exhaust today in Sydney and they quoted me $1000 for 2 Varex's ($500 each) and an additional $400 for a 3.5 inch pipe after the mufflers and an extra $1500 is i wanted headers. At the moment im not looking at headers but i may go for that 3.5 inch performance setup but are the Varex prices reasonable or overpriced, i don't mind paying that much i just don't want to get ripped off?
