  1. Thanks, Might order them from here, :) I just have to find out what size and shape bulbs i have for the licence plate.
  2. Hey Everone, Does anyone know where i can get a decent set of Bright LED lights for the Licence plate? If possible, i want a set that also lights up the ground. :)
  3. Something similar happened with my 2005 model camry 4 yrs ago when i changed the front two speakers. The reason this happened was because the lock button hook on the passenger door wasnt in properly causing all four doors not to lock. You can check the door locks (remove and put back in) especially if u had the speakers changed.
  4. I agree mate, you cant go wrong with Camry's. Had mine for 5 yrs havent had any problems. Just make sure the recall on the lights have been done. You might also need a Major service done and if your not getting warranty have it NRMA inpected just to be on the safe side.
  5. Talking of Fuel Injector service, i was talking to a Mechanic Today, he was saying that when doing Fuel injector Services there is Three levels or layers that need to be serviced, where as when the Dealers do it they only do the one layer (upper level im guessing)not sure if the other layers are required or not.. But i guess the more layers the more it will cost :( Does anyone know if theres any other Extra services other then Fuel Injector, Air Con anti bac and Power steering flush...
  6. Fair enough then, I must be mistaking it with the Corolla and Tarago. Both the 2001 model Corolla and 1998 model Tarago's seatbelt light flash until the seatbelt is buckled. Atleast this is one problem off my list :)
  7. Seems like Fuel Doctor is the way to go... Might as well save the $120 for now :) The only optional service i ended up doing was the Aircon service.
  8. Could possibly be the spark plugs. Might need to get them replaced. For Wheel allignments dont pay any more then $75.
  9. Hey Everyone...... When i start up the Camry, the Seat Belt warning light on the Dash flashes about 5 times then turns off. Does any one know what could be wrong with it? Im pretty sure that, that light is ment to be flashing until the seat belt is pulled down. I went to the dealer today and reported the fault with the Seat Belt warning light. They came back and said NFF - All similar models do the same thing. (Which i highly Doubt) I think the person i spoke to was clueless along with the person who serviced the car were clueless, as they seem to be an apprentice. Has anyone had similar issues or knows what needs to be done as the Dealer simply dont know. I would have been so much more happy if the Dealer told me that they dont know how to fix it and reffered me to the little corner shop mechanic rather then saying - No Fault Found, Other Models do the same thing.. These Service Advisors and new Apprentice are so getting to me now....... :(
  10. This is what i found on a Dealers website. Looks like they do more then drop fluid in the fuel tank Fuel Injection Service: Retores lost power and performance for only - $120 by cleaning carbon deposits from the upper cylinder area of the engine, ensuring your vehicle performs the way it was meant to. Fuel Injection Service is recommended every 20,000kms or 12 months.
  11. Thats scarey stuff man. I think this is a lesson for everyone. In a similar situation like this, i think the best thing to do is Call the Cops from your mobile and say,"I am driving on such and such road, theres a White Toyota Supra with the rego XXXXX(if visible),that is high beaming me, Driving Dangerously and may potentially cause an accident. Can you please send someone down.... etc.... (Something along these lines) 99% of the time, you will be shocked and may not think of calling the cops, but instead, gun it down the side streets. It's always good to call the cops, that way you will have back up if something is likely to happen :)
  12. Thats exactly what i thought but thought it was a good idea to confirm. I do recall doing a fuel injector service 4 years ago (30,000 kms service) as the Service advisor said it will improve performance. Since the car was one year old back then, i agreed to go ahead with it as the vehicle was new and i didnt want to comprimise on performance in the years to come. I Still have warranty til end of 2011, hence the reason i am taking it to the Dealer. I had got a Complimentry 3 year Extended Warranty, which has never come in handy in the last 5 years. My old man said the same. He has never done the Injector service on any of his cars. He also said im better off going to Caltex and getting the Fuel Injector Fluid for less then $10 and using that(If needed)instead of spending $120 at the dealer.
  13. I heard from friends that Tunehouse in Marrickville is really good. I havent taken any of my cars there though. I normally just go to the dealer. Click here to see their website
  14. Hi Everyone, I wanted to get some of your thoughts on the below; Its Time for another 6 month Service on my 2005 Camry. When i called the Dealer to book a Service, they i asked if i wanted the following recommended service Done on top Fuel Injector Service (rec every 30K or 12 months) Airconditioning Anti-Bacterial Service (rec 12 months) Power Steering Flush (Rec every 2 years) Is it worth getting these optional servicing done that the Service advisors recommend or should i give it a miss? Im not sure what Power steering flush is anyway, im guessing they are charging $130 to replace the fluid..... I duno,, Feel free to comment :)
  15. Take it to a different Dealer and get a second opinion.
  16. I got one for my 2001 AE112 Corolla from Sydney City Toyota for $30 about 8 yrs ago. You should be able to grab one from ur local Toyota dealer :)
  17. Congratz on the buy.... Theres one in Oakleigh which i thought was alright.Might wanna do a full Major service :) Heres the URL
  18. No Worries, Dont forget the pics once you get the wheels :)
  19. If the car is still under Warranty, let Toyota know about the "rattling noise" at the next service. Make the most of your Warranty :)
