  5. Glad you're ok. Sounds like they're charging you a (rip-off!) storage/holding fee for the car, not much you can do at all really. Pay the $1,200.00 and take it to your place, strip and sell all you can so at least you can recover a few thousand dollars which can go towards your next car or paying any debt you owe on it. They're trying to make you leave the car there because they know they can make good money from the wreck.
  6. Please Please Please don't get the GT wing on the back Check SpecBlack's ride, he has that (Or similar) front bar. http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=7938' target="_blank">
  7. My brother had a Lukey (Turbo) system on his 5.0l V8. One of the mufflers collapsed, it was replaced and then it was fine for years right up until he got rid of the car.
  8. Nice work! With the equipment being so visible from outside, aren't you worried someone will find it too tempting and break in?
  9. It wont happen, also the bottom of the airbox already has some holes for drainage if you're worried
  10. Where's the remainder of the 22 people who responded Yes.... http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...766&hl=dyno
  11. Obviously pay the $1,200 and strip the car for parts. He's very lucky he didn't hit anyone not having insurance he would have been stuffed. Now he's learnt.

It really depends on what you yourself would like to do or experience as the various parts of Australia have all got different and nice things to offer. Check out this recent thread... http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...mp;hl=australia
  13. Here's the overall results. Very good results all round. http://www.natsoft.com.au/cgi-bin/results..../04/2007.WIN.P1
  14. And if you really want to add a Rice touch to your engine bay you can choose a pretty colour like red for the bracket :P
  15. Those wheels seem to be appearing on every commodore and falcon in melbourne and this morning I spotted a Jazz wearing them too.
  16. Ha ha ha ha Dantze is taking the courtesy car to the track day What a legend ha ha ha!
  17. How does it go near your rims? -Clean the battery fluid with a soapy sponge (A fooked one that's ready to throw out because you will need to throw it out after this) -Dry the area. For the bracket. -Sand the surface rust a little. -Use to rust inhibitor/remover/neutraliser, it's a clear liquid, apply with a small brush and use gloves (It should be pretty cheap not over $40?). Leave it for a day or two. The red rust should then turn black after it's neutralised. Sand it back a little to remove the black particles to make it all nice and smooth again. -Prime it (Normal black primer - It's paint - it doesn't cause rust!). Repeat if needed. -Then you can paint over it again in gloss black or just leave it as is. -Normal WD40 or RP7 can then be used in future as a rust preventer. I've used WD40 on metal exposed to salt water on marine engine components and never had anything corrode.
  18. For a rural commercial vehicle of its type and age, it's amazingly straight. :o Good luck with the restoration, would look cool with chromies and candy-apple red duco
