  1. But wait, these guys are just as dumb http://www.nissansilvia.com/forums/index.p...howtopic=222093 The first post has a valid point, and people are basically calling him an idiot
  2. Dealer will try to say he cant have the deposit back, he just has to be firm if they do so.
  3. +1 But, it should succeed in taking some sales away from the performance Falcons and Commodores. That comment has got to have come from someone who has never driven a HSV or an FPV. No offence intended. Seriously guys and girls, a front driver will NEVER EVER compete with large engined, rear drive cars in this country, they have a completely different target audience. AWD has proven itself a contender, FWD never will. I honestly thought Toyota would remove the cardigan this time, obviously I was mistaken. I have to agree JC. It's a different market. A person who purchases an XR6T or SS would simply not look at a FWD Large car. But those who drive cars such as Honda Accord Euro, Mazda 6 etc would look into this.
  4. Could have been Bangn's original Carisson wheels when he had the VIP look before he became a track whore :P . Let me try find a pic. Edit: It should be in the first set of pics in this post. Cheers http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...bourne+dyno+day
  5. He has to be ex formula one or at the very least formula 3000. Did anyone see the stig drive the formula one car? Unless you have had a lot of experience driving one before, you couldn't drive it the way he did. I thought Damon Hill too, but not sure now as per SuperDaves comment above.
  6. This has been so long coming that people have lost interest before it's even arrived.....
  7. I saw this at the Motor Show, I have to say I like it alot. First impression is that it's stance makes it look as wide as it is long. The bonnet is very short and the windscreen almost follows the same line as the bonnet making it look like a wedge. Seeing the other hatches on offer at the show, this looks two generations newer. Remember to make it cheaper for Aust, all they have to do is remove a few things. For example Ford with it's Focus XR5 that comes from Germany (I think?) removed alot of little things like projector beam lights etc, but kept the important things in the package such as the recaro seats etc. Honda will follow the same sort of line, to keep the price competitive but retain the good bits of the package.
  8. Wow nice one :) Does he have a different bonnet to fit the cooler on top of the engine like that? Or does it fit underneath the standard bonnet?
  9. I think the Rally version above shows the shape has potential. It just needs the right treatment. Personally, I didn't like the look of my model Corolla when it first came out, then two years later I bought a new one. The tiny wheels and 4x4 suspension do it no justice. I'm surprised they had a production version on the stand instead of the pimped up gold version like the launch o/seas to attract more attention.
  10. I'd like to park it into a tight parking spot in the city and watch peoples faces lol
  11. Yes, keep in mind he had a Unichip, SRI, headers and full exhaust extracting more potential from the system. TRD quotes their power from adding the S/C to a standard car retaining the standard airbox (They supply a better snorkle if anyone has it I'll take it he he :D) and standard exhaust system and their own pre-programmed ecu which doesn't work for us but as you can imagine would be tuned a little on the conservative side.
  12. Probably best to go to the wreckers and peel one off to see if it is painted underneath. That way no-ones car has to be the gunea pig
  13. From the reading I've done TRD claims 30% more power. So the 100kw at the flywheel would be 130kw. But torque is another story, you get alot more down low and from what Grimlock had stated from his experience (Now Blue Rolla's S/C - Hurry up dude unleash the BEAST! ) Traction becomes a problem :D
  14. I think he had it on just for the 60th anniversary Ferrari festivities at Lygon St last Saturday. Maybe it was her car ;)
  15. Ha ha well if it's any consolation, he was driving it gently :D
  16. :( I can't expect to get that sort of life out of mine. Most of my driving is in heavy traffic.
  17. Aurion/Camry are the same car and despite looks are virtually identical in dimentions. If what you want is a Supercharged v6 Camry... Just get the TRD Aurion. You will have far less headaches and problems with the car and will probably end up costing you less too.
  18. Umm most probably not - already had plans for that particular long weekend. But if things change...
  19. Holy crap he's also done supercharged versions as well!!!
  20. Just moved to melb.. how many members here work in the city? i work corner la trobe and exhibition wouldnt mind knowing where to keep an eye out to see some rollas. keep seeing white rolla.. plates **RICE Cheers C-rolla I work at the other end near Latrobe and William, but I rarely drive in. When I do I park near the corner of Latrobe and Queen. Don't think so, girl was in the passenger seat, So it may have been Mr & Mrs E-gene but just didn't look him behind the wheel.
  21. Ha ha that's great! I want to build one now he he
  22. This morning about 7.40am on Waverley road spotted a nice blue ascent, lowered with rear spoiler, white wheels and eyelids. Also about 8.20am I saw E-gene's car driving along Latrobe st, but driver didn't look like E-gene to me
