I don't think it would be feasable to drive up the coast for us mexicans - it would take far too long if it's to happen over a long weekend. You would still have to stick to the Hume I think. Would it really take the Brisvagas people that long to get to Sydney?

Didn't he hit something that got him out of shape in the first place? Looks like there's just grass on the side of the road, if he had one or two tires on the grass when trying to recover from swerving it would be easy to lose it.

I would start off with Wheels and Suspension (How nice does V6 Kamree's ride look???) These two things make a world of difference and you may end up happy leaving the car with these two changes. ;) Sometimes making too many aesthetic changes can make the car look shiete.

I don't think a strut brace will assist with your problem. Are you stating the steering feels very light when cruising at 100km/h on the freeway - kind of feels like if you sneeze you'll end up 5 lines on the other side of the road? A front strut tower bar wont do anything for this (They help sharpen cornering/handling). This has mostly to do with the over-assisted non speed sensitive power steering systems Toyota was using at the time. Not much you can do there. But the tyres you have also can have an effect. I found sometimes to counteract this, especially when towing something, varying the tyre pressures from the front to rear can assist to a small degree (Eg have 34psi at the fronts and 38 at the rears).

Also the max torque figures of the diesels are developed and sustained at much low rpms in comparison to the petrol equivalent.

I agree and don't. They don't cost too much more if you look around. They do come in all sorts of sizes to fit all fittings (except for low voltage, halogen lights). But I agree with your point in that it's a little bit of a w@nk if they think that energy usage will drop dramatically if everyone switches. It won't, people need to look at everything they do at home/work etc, use less heating/airconditioning, use the clothes line instead of the drier bla bla bla.

Try Eagle One wading polish for Chrome/Alloy etc, it's a little silver tin and works a treat on polished/chrome surfaces.

I think lower first. Provided you don't go any lower than 50mm you shouldn't have any problems with wheel fitment later on provided you have the correct wheel offsets with the new ones. When it's lowered you may think it looks ok enough to hold on to the stock wheels for a while and save more money for quite nice ones.
