  1. Aren't all the fuses located in the black box on the right of the battery? Cause I don't see any box behind the battery. That's what I meant.
  2. Under the bonnet, the rectangular box behind the battery, from memory the one fuse is for the interior lights and the radio, so replace it and it should be good.

Any Word from Police or anyone else? :(
  4. Genie make good products - What car do you have?
  5. So what lense did the 400d come with? Or are you using a different one?
  6. You should seriously look into getting work as a photographer. Very nice work again vyets
  7. $650 gets you a set of Eibachs which is top notch. But for around $350 you can look at King Springs, Whiteline etc etc.
  8. So it's a 2000 year model? That would make it an AE112 I think. They don't have the same engines as above. I think they all have a 100kw 1.8L 7AFE engine. -Just ensure you have the car is inspected by mechanic or RACV. -Bring a fridge magnet and check that it sticks on all the panels (excluding plastics like bumpers), if it doesn't stick it means there's damage repair (putty) underneath the paint to fill in a dent. -Look for mismatched paint on panels. -Look in places like under the bonnet, inside the boot, spare wheel compartment etc for evidence of repairs. -Always negotiate on price :) Check www.redbook.com.au for information on prices, different models etc Being a 2000 model you can expect most examples you'll find to probably have around 130,000kms. They do have soft suspension which is just the way Toyota seems to design Corollas.
  9. It sounds like the rear sway bar is a little loose. Is it a very metallic (metal on metal) sounding clang clang kind of sound, rather than a knocking? The sway bar is located within the Torsion Beam (rear axle) between the two rear wheels. If this is the source of the sound I'm a little mystified why toyota would need to replace it, I doubt the stock one would snap too? It just needs to be tightened. On either side you will see two bolts that go from top to bottom which hold the sway bar into the Torsion Beam. Using two wrenches, hold the nut at the top with one and tighten the bolt at the bottom with the other. Try use some leverage. If you have a torque wrench, set it so 198nm. The sound should then go away. Alternatively, if you cant do it yourself, just ask Toyota to do it, takes them all of 1min. Cheers
  10. Welcome :D Where are you from? If you're referring to it as the e12 I imagine you're somewhere in Europe maybe? Here in Australia we have two different petrol engine variants the ZZE122 and ZZE123 (Both 1.8 litre but one with 100kw the other with 141kw) with different levels of trim. In Europe there are other alternative engines we don't get such as the D4D diesel and the 1.6 Petrol which I just can't comment on - although member "Just" is in Italy and has the 1.6L version e12. In my experience with my 1.8 petrol model (100kw) nothing has gone wrong after 4 years and no other members have really had any major hassles with theirs either, they're a reasonably well built and generally a problem free kind of car. Sometimes there are minor build issues that come up, but that happens on any mass produced car. Like any car, have it inspected by a mechanic you trust, look for an example that hasn't been in an accident and has low km's, and a full service history. Look in places like the engine bay and the spare wheel compartment for paint that looks fresh to cover up accidents. If it has been looked after, it should be problem free. Good Luck :)
  11. Why don't you get CES to knock up a custom reverse facing Snorkle made from 3" SS? Saw one last week on a Patrol, looked (And sounded) sweet!
  12. Nice. Being that traction would be a biatch, are they going to do something like what Bill did in tuning the ecu with two pre-sets, low-boost for everyday driving and high boost for the silly stuff ?
  13. Nice, I'll just move this to members rides.
  14. I want a towbar but it wont fit as long as I have the remus on Tips too damn big
  15. Check out your local yellow pages for a Hayman Reese dealer/authorised fitter near you, most likely a Toyota "Genuine" will come from these anyway. $504 seems a bit steep.
  16. I think its the vsv you hear ticking away at idle. I'd be concerned if the vvti made ticking noises :D
  17. Welcome. I think he's referring to the entire intake not just the filter (SRI or CAI). Can anyone help?
  18. Is that because the JDM exhaust does a dog leg and comes out of the passenger side instead of going straight out on the drivers side like ours do?
  19. Nice vyets, I've been eyeing off that camera lately. What size lense did it come with?
  20. The differences from memory are: Conquest: Standard front electric windows (rear optional), Aircon, single cd mp3 player (4 Speaker?), alloys, optional abs with ebd. Levin: Standard full electric windows, abs and ebd, standard 6 stack cd mp3 (6 Speaker), nicer interior trim, optitron gauges, rear spoiler, side skirts, fog lights etc. Mechanically they are identical, just Levin has more things as standard, which if you were to option them all on a Conquest, it would be cheaper to get the Levin. Conquest is nicer over an Ascent if your not going for a Levin because of the colour coded exterior trims.
  21. With Seats up Sedan has a much bigger boot. With seats folded flat, the hatch can carry more because there's no parcel shelf in the way, so you can fit big, bulky items. In terms of looks, Sedans can look quite hot and sleek when done properly.
  22. Wait this will start a riot.... Turbo Hatch or Supercharged Sedan :D Seriously though, there is no difference in the way the two drive (except that the more powerful Sportivo's were in hatch only). The difference comes to which body style is best for you. Personally, my previous car was a wagon, so I got the hatch so I could still have the same sort of versatility.
