  1. You just have to call around because it's very much dependant on your age and driving history, no point in having insurance though if you don't list your modifications. If you're worried about ride height issues find the lowest point on your car and measure it. Mine is the exhaust just before it goes over the rear axle, but I have not kit. I'm pretty certain you'll find the front and side skirts will be lower than the rear.
  2. If you can get the part number for it, you probably can, but no doubt it will be expensive.
  3. You'll find it will be better if you don't have loads of people come. Some people will be left behind, lost etc and then others have to wait for them. Also more potential for stupidity when you have greater numbers and you don't need that on a Black Spur cruise.
  4. Yes Injen and AEM CAI's seem to have more of a kink in their design but they all work the same.
  5. Ha ha that pic was in the paper, they interviewed the guy just after all that Noble Park stuff happened, he openly admitted to showing up and 'putting on a show' for the crowd. Moron.
  6. Lowering is a big part of looks Just be a little more careful when driving to avoid scraping. Replacing the air filter with a TRD item in your stock airbox will not void your warrenty, you're not altering any parts, just the filter element. What sort of Sport muffler did you fit?
  7. So when will we see Kurt v Bill on the strip
  8. Will be interesting to see the explaination for the failed rods. There's a write up in 'Wheels' on the testing and development they did, seemed to be pretty extensive and Toyota would not release a car if it wasn't proven to be durable. I really don't think it should be cause for concern.
  9. Nice work there, like how the battery is re-located too.
  10. Why don't we assume that both approaches to boosting the 2zz have their merrits and are both good things :)
  11. No Koni Yellows will be suited to those springs.
  12. Are you referring to the revs fluctuating (dropping to 300rpm, almost stalling and rising to 1000rpm then back down again) when at idle, just after the car warms up a little and comes off fast idle? It seems to be a randomly occuring issue with 1zz cars. I haven't had it happen for quite some time but I've never been able to get any sort of answer on why it occurs from Toyota.
  13. I was hungry wanted to get home Where were you? If I had seen you we could have stopped at Car Lovers further up the road and I could see the rexy :) Spotted lowered Silver pre-face lift Stivo in Kings Way Glen Waverley tonight
  14. Can you take a picture or two of what your installation looks like. It certainly shouldn't fill that quick.
  15. My dad has a 1990 Holden Nova/Corolla AE92 auto sedan, nothing has ever gone wrong with the thing. Don't think you can go wrong, but only problem is most cars of this age will have or be close to 200,000km's which can make them a little tired and possibly problematic just because of the wear from the km's. I think generally anything Japanese would be good. However perhaps a Hyundai isn't such a bad thing either, for the same price as an older Japanese make, you could get something newer which is something to consider. My friend got a 1 year old ex-rental Getz for 9k and for what he paid, it does the job quite well.
  16. It was just brilliant. Personally I don't see why they should be fined for the security forces incompetance.
  17. That looks like a Short Ram intake, not a Cold Air Intake. This leaves your air filter in the engine bay and sucks in hot air.
  18. Where are you located Mooro?, perhaps you can meet some of the other members and exchange idea's in person.
  19. For the benefit of those interested. Can you please post up the contact details for Blitz NZ (Where you got the kit from)
  20. Send an e-mail to Toyota.
