  1. I quite like it :) but yes they have done a Golf Gti want to be. Especially with the blackout section below the upper grille.
  2. He's already removed the bottom of the airbox and made his own ducting leading into it.
  3. Aurion now can get Factory 18" wheels as an option http://wheels.carpoint.ninemsn.com.au/Desk...;Alias=wheelsau
  4. Not really cleaned, looks like it was just sprayed with alot of Armor-All or Yuk-Off or similar products. Looks good when you do it, but then the product will actually trap dirt/dust and make it look crap later.
  5. Can you put up a photo of the car? Reason I ask is, the European sourced e12 has a different front to the Japanese sourced ZZE12x although everything else is the same. If it is like ours, you'll be able to find kits on ebay, most likely not original toyota items but I have the fake ones and they look and work the same.
  6. I don't you'll get one to fit in without butchering your airbox, which don't want to do because they cost about $400. I don't know about the availability of such a part in Italy, but you're better off removing the airbox completely and finding a MAF adaptor which can fit your sensor and you can fit the filter to.
  7. The sedan is the Typhoon, same mechanical package, but better grip so much quicker :D
  8. What's it look like? Just a rough finish?
  9. yes they break not sure why but everytime the head of the clip breaks off. i do not think you really need them anyway since the 2 bolts at the front secure the engine cover. It's secure but tends to Vibrate Audibly without them. I would paint it rather than get the Faux Carbon Finish on it.
  10. Isn't that the Lexus Sports Car - Based on the concept car they had at the Motor Shows overseas.
  11. Can someone tell me how to remove the 1zz engine cover without breaking the two plastic clips at the back (There's the two nuts at the front and two push-in plastic clips at the back). They only cost like $1.50 but all the same would be nice not to have to buy new ones every time I take the cover off.
  12. Here you go ... http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...?showtopic=4050 Moving this to electronics
  13. A stock DC5 is just as quick as a DC2. It's been proven the DC2R/DC5R (AUDM) and DC5S are all within a 10th of a second of each other both on the strip and on the track. So yes any of the three will spank a Sportivo
  14. Guys, This is a very professionally run and fun event. Exe-Crew are one of the friendliest group of people you'll find too. :)
  15. Airport Security Staff !!!!! From time to time I have to fly Melb - Syd and back for work, recently I flown 3 times in the last 3 months. On every occassion Both at the Melbourne side and Sydney side (So that's six times in total), I've been stopped and checked for a 'Random' Explosive substance check!!!!!! Now once is ok but every freakin time! Now I am of Italian background. Yes, I do have an olive/tanned complexion and dark hair. My work attire is a nicely pressed Suit and Tie. Do I really look like I want to bring a freakin plane down with a Guess Brief Case!!!!! I'm seriously just being targeted because I look like I may be of Middle Eastern Background. So wrong!
  16. The reasoning would be the lesser Corolla's would be expected to carry more weight (Think Courier/Family duties) than the sport models. So they are fitted with higher weight bearing tyres from the factory and carry this on their tyre placard accordingly. Also Toyota may not have had many 16" tyres to choose from at the time, so they lowered the rating for the Sportivo Specifically to 87v for the availability of the tyres at the time. It's not really a popular size. Because it's on the tyre placard, you always have to stick to it legally.
  17. I say WTF for ! I'd be more interested in knowing what my car actually does on its own. Octane boost I can understand and got no problem with because for the most part you're just optimising the fuel in use. But Ice around the intake is just too funny :D
  18. Just note, I'm pretty certain that these headers are much longer in length than the stockies, so the cat itself moves back and the mid-pipe has to be shortened. Can you confirm this for others Gazoom & Danz so they know what's involved with fitment?
  19. You can't put the 4AGE head on a 4AFE block, although it can be made to fit, the blocks differ slightly and it causes many problems, so you need to transplant the entire engine. IMO stick with and enjoy the 4AFE for now, try what rollamods suggested, save your money, and then when you're too bored with it look for something else or then look at a possible engine swap.
  20. Spotted Ovo turning into Kings Way about 7.15 last night - I wasn't in my car Spotted a lowered Black Sportivo with Black Altezza lights, C-One vented bonnet and trd decals on the side-skirts on Bourke St this morning - gave you a beep.
  21. Ahhh topstage is finally doing a Corolla kit, seeing what he's done to Nissans can't wait to see what he can do with this. Nice Car so far, keep it up :)
  22. This has an excellent explanation : http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...?showtopic=9050 Cheers :D
