  1. There's a good one called Internode http://www.internode.on.net/ My sisters been using them for a couple of months with no problem and I'm switching to them soon. It's quite fast in comparison to Optus Cable.
  2. I think you only have to look at how many Polo GTi's are on the road to realise that this would sell if Holden/HSV brought it down under.

    custom eyelids

    Personally I like Grima's No2 design.
  4. In VIC it's ok to have a pod open in the engine bay provided it is dry not oiled. If it's oiled then it has to be enclosed. So for example, Apexi Power Intake pod is ok, but K & N is a no no. I recently posted all the VICRoads and EPA guidelines in the General Section, it's all there for the VIC people, sorry, but don't know where to look for other states :(
  5. Looking for Volunteers to organise? Anyone? I was coordinating the cars last year on the day (We had so many unexpected cars come from no-where! :o ), so this time I just want to be a participant, so I can sleep in and turn up late and poke fun at people. :D For comparitive reasons would be nice to have this at NT Garage/Performance again (As they store our results from the last 2 we had), but if you prefer somewhere else, so be it. B)
  6. That's the European one (Opel Corsa) we will continue to get the cut-price daewoo's here
  7. HSV are selling the Astra VXR, I've seen a few around already, don't see why they won't get their hands on this one too.
  8. I can't stop looking at those pictures... Those front wheel arch vents are just agro and it sits so low.
  9. You're unhelpful and unknowledgeable Toyota Spare parts department :P
  10. The actual shaft should be the same seeing Celica and Corolla share front end suspension components. Part numbers should tell you.
  11. I think if you found the 122 'wanting' you'll never be happy with it and end up trading up for something that goes harder. I think you should go for a 123. You will never know everything the driver has done or how it's been driven, the only thing you can do is get the lowest km's with sound service history, look for panel damage etc. These are fairly robust engines (It's a toyota :D) Members have taken their cars to drag strips, track days etc and they still go strong. More than anything, try find the most stock example you can, as tempting as it is to find one with existing mods, this more than anything will protect you from a heavy handed owner.
  12. I vote for IZZ-FE , the new moderator to organise DyNo DaY 2oo7 in MeLbOuRnE! Sorry IZZ.... ;) Mid-to-Late February sounds about right. I'm not organising this :P .... Who's idea was it in the first place ... :D
  13. Welcome. I think everyone's personal opinion will vary, I think the best thing to do is find a dealer that has a 123 in the 2nd hand yard as well as demonstrator 122's (Ascent/Conquest/Levin all drive the same) and drive them back to back. Then see which suits you best Given the way low km 123's seem to hold their value, you're probably spending similar money on either choice.
  14. How was that for random :) Talk about a small world.
  15. Interesting the Aust delivered cars aren't speed limited but the o/seas one is, highlift - your car originated directly from Japan right? Is this a typical Japanese auto industry thing to do like the 206kw gentlemans agreement?
  16. Well done! Nice work Bozurolla... The light blue one is Big Bum, The black one with gold wheels is Danz, The Silver with Car Bra is Omn1potent, The Silver one with the TRD CF grill is RME1, the white with Gunmetal wheels is E-gene, kcorro's blue sedan, Vamps/Cruisin4fun DC5R, Nismo Racer/Calvin in the r33, I think I see ovo there too but don't know the others :)
  17. There is a destinct mechanical whine you start to hear from 3500rpm, but it's not a whistling/wheezing. Is it more apparent when the windows are down? You may have a leak in the exhaust somewhere, visually check the exhaust for any streaks of carbon near any welds or joins which may show where the leak is.
  18. If you can get into Landscaping and like working with plants/outdoors - Go for it! You will be getting very shiity pay as an apprentice, but once you have your certificate and confident in what you do, you can either work for someone else as a qualified landscaper for decent pay or go out on your own and make money litterally by the shovel load! I'm currently considering quiting the office job and looking into doing gardening/landscaping which I enjoy, but the problem for me is I would have to initially go from middle management pay to apprentice wage which I just cant do with the commitments I have... but If you have the opportunity, give it a go. Sometimes you can get a good employer who would give you above award pay during your apprenticeship.
  19. Ouch, hope your friend and family is ok. :( And even the the Commodore driver even though he was being stupid. <_< This is why I got so narky in another thread recently.
  20. Nice Work! - Has the original owner seen it now?
  21. Easy... get a mortgage, you stop spending on everything :D Seriously it's all will power :)
  22. I use a older Kodak CX7530, It's pretty reasonable for the price, took some great o/seas photo's with it.
  23. You beat me to it :D Don't dare park in my spot These sedan tail lights are hot Say it - S m o o t h Artistic? Look 200KW's!
