  1. Personally I don't think it would work with the shape of the hatch. If it were a lift back like the previous shape it would work well, but I don't think it would look right. I think Booster body kits did something similar and a member posted a pic quite some time ago.
  2. US Corolla's use 5 lug hubs. May be possible to source the parts from there, As far as I know, suspension set up is the same.
  3. Forester Turbo's are quite nice. Good Choice :)
  4. I've had cans of Yellow VHT sitting in my Garage for 2 years now... I'll get to it eventually...
  5. Easy just check Firesport.com for the parts, I'm sure they're all there by now....
  6. Nice, Is that lowered or is that the factory height? What's the rear vision like with the Astra Coupe's?
  7. RME1 has a similar one fitted to his car (I think his is the Sprectre brand), He seems to be quite pleased with it.
  8. But if they didn't do it right in the first place, a strip and balance should only cost about $40 no more.
  9. I'd hate to be the person who has to stand behind and light the match to get you guys to launch :D
  10. Once we get a date I can post up on other forums to make up numbers if we have to, last year was good because we had a few different cars show.
  11. By the way, just so people know, this particular Dyno is a 2wd Dyno Dynamics unit, so FWD & RWD can join in the fun, but no 4WD.
  12. All I'm saying is that the vehicles we own and drive (Although we are proud of them) aren't the most appealing to the after market. Lets be realistic. If this site had much much more members which were owners of more appealing (To a broad market) vehicles such as Celica/Celica GT4, Supra, MR2 etc, then it would be a different. But people willing to sponsor a dime a dozen Corolla/Camry/Aurion site, don't think so. But thankyou to CES for taking the plunge and supporting us. Thumbs up to you. This is not being negative, it's just fact. I still luv all you guys :D The name of that forum is a little misleading, Although it's a Nissan Silvia forum, Its members own anything from Commodores to WRX's to Honda's. That site works very well as a Cruise/Event Registry. If you look in the events section, they organise Alot of events - which attract very big numbers (And quite a few idiots too), but also (Because of the diverse cars) attract alot of professionals who run events such as skid pan days (I did one recently - not worth the $120 in a FWD car just frustrating in the end). So it has a very BIG Audience and that's what attracts those sponsors. If we want sponsors, we did a alot members and alot of hits to this site everyday. Sponsors want to know that their advert is viewed. Whilst on this topic, I think you should really look into my suggestion early on, remove the comments on the CES threads and have the first posts only (The ads themselves) and lock the threads. That way the advert stays clean. ;)
  13. Leave it stock until you hit the Dyno... There's a particular stock one in Melbourne that's now putting out big numbers. ;)
  14. It's a no brainer really. The Silvia Forum has members which own everything from Silvia's to Supercharged Commodores. In short it has ALOT of members with all sorts of different cars in different states of tune. This is a great market for someone selling a producing after market products. Now Compare that forum to this one. Most members here have modern Corolla's, not exactly an after market tuners delight. So given a choice between the two, where would you advertise, where the money is of course.
  15. Welcome - Look out in the Meets Section for the next Melbourne Catch Up, Omn1potent is organising a Dyno day early next year, even if you don't want your car on the Dyno, Turn up to meet us all. :)
  16. No changes since then but who cares, I'm down :D
  17. Have you called around for prices on the same tyre?
  18. ... 19. Just be wary that changing the crank pulley affects the balance of the bottom end of your engine, most crank pulleys are balanced to the crank itself. Just check this out first guys.
  20. So you've actually seen first hand someones brain splattered all over a car interior have you? You've been the first on scene to see such a sight? I have (And funny it was on a quiet country road too). You stated you were driving at 150km/h into a corner on a public road. Country road or Metro road same thing moron, where ever you are, unexpected traffic will be there, unlike on a closed track (And you live 500km away from one, no excuse) I couldn't give a sh!t if you kill yourself, because one less idiot in the world is great, but don't take someone else with you. End Rant ;)
  21. Yes it leads to unnecessary injuries and/or death. I'm simply expressing my own opinion so back off. R U a coppa? You sound like one of those self righteous under brained traffic cops. Have you seen what happens to the human head after a high speed accident stupid? I hope you never have to. Grow up, if you really want to be testing your (lack of) driving abilities take it to a track.
