  1. Divide the number of litres by the number of kilometers and then multiply by 100. So, If you've used 40litres, and travelled 550km's 40/550 = .073 .073 x 100 = 7.3L/100KM The most accurate way of working out how many litres you use is to fill the tank completely. And then on the next fill up see how many litres you put in to fill it again (remembering your 1zz has a 55 litre tank)
  2. The powder is corn powder I think ? I can't remember why it's there, I think it's so the plastic of the bag doesn't stick together to assist in opening, something like that. Yeah I always laugh at and play with airbags :D :D The non-inflatable type that is. If it's going to be going back on the road, make sure you have a really good inspection of what chassis/body structure damage is there, it may come back together ok, but you may end up with some serious issues down the track depending on what the damage is.
  3. Nobody said anything about an individual giving their thoughts on their own new purchase/mod. 44gze - glad you're happy with your purchase. Hope you keep your licence though :P
  4. Sorry to hear and glad you're ok. Looking at the pics, you definetely don't want the car back on the road. Chassis rails would be bent like banana's. I'll take your 2zz-ge though :P Joking
  5. Good Jazz is Awesome! Good report Danz, look forward to being able to have a listen to the new set up 1st hand.
  6. For a balance there's no need to test drive the car but for a wheel alignment it's best they do, to ensure it is in fact centred and doesn't pull left/right when driving straight.
  7. I've got the TRD which is quite good. Whiteline is available here in Australia, I'm not sure if you can get it shipped there (E-bay maybe?). There's also the C-One bar which you would have to try and source from Japan. I think in Europe you can get the Hotchkis (I think that's how it's spelt).
  8. Yes I noticed it immediately, I think it brings BigBum to Forum's sexiest rolla status... :D Anyone else see it ???
  9. that's all well and good in Melbourne but up here we have something called 'heat' outside, you may not be aware of that :P :D ;) ;) Air Con ? Oh yeah that's the window de-mister isn't it ? :P :D
  10. dam danz u must b driving it hard!! my mates camry sportivo 4 cyclinder is $65-70 a tank and his getting 700kms .. thats pushing the thing too .. rolla runs like its on turbo. I've only been that bad once and that's because the car was flogged for a solid week. Really blew out the cob webs :D :o
  11. I'm a car whore, only purchase the best offering at the time, but not really loyal to brands, in Early 03, the best sub $25k 1.8 Hatch was the Corolla. Who knows what my next purchase would be, Focus XR5 is looking good at the moment though.
  12. Someones thinking about food again :) What do you mean again, I never stop thinking of food... my apetite seriously contradicts my size. :D
  13. At the moment I don't have something else so I'll just continue to harp on about this. If the CES products are pinned, then the old 'Where to get parts' and 'Part Numbers' posts should be pinned up again. Fair is Fair isn't it? Sorry to make myself clear, I know you've added them to the 'Please read here first thread', but that's no longer prominent and honestly that thread isn't really read by newcomers, as shown by the continued repeats.
  14. It's what the market demands. Wealthy people want tractors with poke, so they have the BMW X5 5.0, The Coming Porsche Cayenne Turbo S, Range Rover Sport, formally the Merc AMG ML55 now replaced by the ML63. VW also have the Toureg with the V10 TDI which is a brute, and the upcoming Audi as well. Remember these customers usually have a Porsche, Ferrari etc already in the garage, so they want their everyday car to have lots of go too. If they can afford it, why not :)
  15. The stiffer suspension would reduce front end lift on take off, so more traction and a quicker 60ft time. The LSD may also assist with traction, but in a straight line the difference would be minimal if any, The LSD would make a huge difference in cornering but not so much straight line.
  16. And whilst we're all asking questions... What's the difference between Koni Yellow and Koni Red ?
  17. The lid is slightly different from one to the other, you'll nice the difference if you look at them both side by side. They're both identicial on all sides except for the back side that normally faces the firewall. The 2zz's is wider there. Kcorro replaced his 1zz lid with a 2zz lid and notice and difference in responsiveness. So you wouldn't change the entire airbox, only the lid. And make sure you get a post recall lid if you're going to do it.
  18. Sway Bars the same for all models, springs will have the same rate, but slightly higher.
  19. Yes, ZAV can tell you about this :P
  20. this is the result Can you let us know how you changed the radio lights just ?
  21. To put those lap times into perspective, MOTOR mag recently did the following times with the following cars at Winton with a professional race driver at the wheel... HSV Clubsport DTS - 1.42.95 FPV F6 Typhoon - 1.44.60 Falcon XR6 Turbo Manual - 1.44.95 Holden Commodore SS - 1.45.80 Falcon XR6 Turbo Auto - 1.45.90 HSV GTO Coupe - 1.45.95 FPV Falcon GT - 1.46.05 Falcon XR8 - 1.46.50 Very good times boys! ;)
  22. Yes the shifter would most likely be a different part in the lotus, and with the amount of track/drag days the Sportivo's have done to date, it would have happened already if it was going to break.
