  1. your correct. tests have proven 98 octane fuel lowers emitions, and fuel consumtion based on energy needs/loads on motor per km.. havin said that... depends on what you motor is tuned for.
  2. nothing to do with your brakes.. take it back... they failed with the balance
  3. hi all im new to the forum personally i don't think toyota is at fault but the mechanics and service advisors themself...there are a minority thats riun for everyone who want to do their job properly...i'm a mechanic myself and always do things by the book. Your correct.Sometimes this happens depending on the mechanic. Most times the service advisor has no idea. Only reads the comments on the job card. Things only get looked into when there is a complaint. Fact is evidence is too strong to ignore. No workshop needs this as bad news travels fast. People will get their but kicked. But having said that it depends on the tolerance of the dealership. Past indescretions of the mechanic in question etc. Its a shame to bag one dealership for the faults of one mechanic. But if you make noise in the correct areas things will be addressed. Dont think Toyota dont have people looking at this forum Its a good thing. Just my bit
  4. Very nice. Black TRD is a very risky car to clean Well yesterday after gym I gave inside of the car a vacuum after its been a taxi for the last three days and today I washed it. No wax or anything. Just a regular wash with megs wash and wax and dry(inside doors, boot, bonnet, fuel lid etc), tyre shine and go for a quick drive Not risky......Pain in AR-E. but i like it so will keep on spending the time

Tried a couple of times.no anwser
  7. Mate. New engine not new sensors. most long motors come with out these basic things and get swapped by the installer. Get somebody to check your motor with a temp gun. Most workshops have this. Might only be bad contact/resistence in electrics..Or most likly bad sensor.. Just a note have had new sensors give false readings. ALSO didnt say if it was rebuilt. If timing has been set slightly out will cause this prob.
  8. I know what your saying. Normally you get the reverse mirror kit to Go with it. Unless you allready have reverse camera/ gps unit

  13. Hey boleh. Just checked out that item. Very impressive.Would love to install that in my car but moon roof would cause problems. I would think the mounting kit would be more than sufficent to hold it. Get a rep Car sound company to install it though. Mate had one installed in his new VE crummydoor.. Holes through roof... No joke. Good luck

  15. MT is Correct. NEVER mix coolants. Incompadibility will result in yor coolant turing to a gel like substance. Will give you false reading on temp gauge. ie>>>>>Fu******Ked motor

  21. Off topic... I was actually considering being one of those Green Cabs riders around the city on a Friday/Saturday night. Would be a great way to get fit. lol.
  22. I am wondering about this as well. You are referring to the part where the two headers join inot a single exhaust pipe right? The picture looks like it joins them smoothly. Really nice! Outside of the header, piping sizes, cats and resonators, the only thing that may be worth changing is the mufflers themselves. If you remove the stock one, take a look at how the exhaust flows through it. If it appears that the exhaust flow is not a straight/direct flow, then change it out for a muffler that has a straight through flow. Just make sure the muffler itself is a decent size so that it actually does some muffling rather than making a lot of noise. I actually went from a staight through to triple flow sports muffler, give a better note than the straight through ones and give a nice rumble at revs. In reference to the front header yes the stock pipe does go into a larger diameter piece, and the rear one is that size right up to the manifold down to the merge. As dicussed in earlier threads these "pressed cone" collectors are thinner than stock pipe, due to their shaping therefore prone to sound leakage (buzzing) this is why Im thinking of either getting another manifold to cat and start again or measure up spacing for 2 oval cats and twin pipes from there. Hey mate. bit slack at work today. ripped the rear mufflers off an put 2.25 pipes out. sound great when your up it,(real crisp) but bad drone in auto. ok if you stay in sport mode and dont go over 4th when cruisin round town, but dont want to waste the money on expensive cans that do the same thing. value your tests.
