  1. i never measured but custom springs can go much lower but with original shocks they will go much faster
  2. what clubs are doing this? last time you did not mention it and after the cruise found it was with a convertible club. not that i was coming but if i was i would take a twintop on it.
  3. the window spoiler looks good. the same situation is for the sedan we can get the rear window spoiler but the curve fit is not perfect so you need patience and strong adhesive to bond it down onto the glass. apart from that once it is glued down the fit gaps around it is perfect. too bad about the racing nuts you got. though they look identical to weds racing nuts minus the weds logo printing on each nut it is better to be safe than sorry for them to snap apart when you are going fast on some track. the other day i saw a new release box set of real jap nuts they are based gold (looks like a brass bolt colour) and on top flamed in purple, orange, blue like the titanium muffler tips but the range of colours of the flame was more. obviously these were made from titanium and look really special and very expensive! also that day they were doing the usual "street" install on a bentley continetal gt! poor gt getting its systems pulled out for something else. too much money! what intake system are you running? i have someone coming in a few weeks time from new york so have been a bit tempted to grab a trd cai since i will save on postage. the goose is looking very fine
  4. i heard that japan is raising prices soon as usual every new year. so if you want to catch the previous year prices you should put your orders in soon.
  5. if they are considerably heavier than your original wheels i could see the response being less sharp
  6. recently found out that the door window frame is covered by a sticker. did you know this? black cars however are an exception which is actually colour coded but for all other colours such as cascade blue and white the frame is covered by a matt black sticker. has anyone removed the sticker? though toyota pride themselves on high quality it would be a gamble as there may be blemishes underneath the sticker. i think only enthusiasts would notice the mod but if you did it your car would be different. it would take a long time to do aswell but i already have experience of removing window tint from my windows. i am thinking about doing this one.
  7. other general improvements/mods that do not cost much but your time remove drivers side sun visor warning sticker, change center console lights, paint things up such as inside head lamps, brake calipers, engine cover.
  8. drive around with the car stock and no modifications and note the fuel economy you getting before you start to make changes as you may be interested to know what economy you are making. keep the original genuine air filter if you do change to aftermarket in case you want to drop it in when you visit toyota with your car. k&n is an oil based filter if you want dry you need to look at other brands. if you do the intake snorkel and resonator box modification try to be neat and keep the parts that you remove without hacking them to pieces. that way should you change your mind in the future you can reuse the parts because of warranty, noise or performance/economy issues. if you wish to make the interior appear more spacious you can swap the headrests from front to back or remove the rears totally. you may like to consider adding mesh to the front bar air dam to prevent bugs sticking to the radiator or rocks damaging it. apart from that i cannot think of other mods you would do to levin without having to spend significant money on it.
  9. facelift you can tell by the tail lamps whether it is hatch or sedan. as for sedan the grill is different for the facelift
  10. never knew about this part until now. and i will get one! i really like c-one parts i already have the c-one cooling panel and this will be a good addition to the engine dress up even though performance wise the benefit may be small. it does not look hard to make but it should not be too expensive to get the real part.
  11. going to the toyota service centre usually costs. pros would be they have the right equipment, parts, knowledge and courtesy bus service or loan cars.
  12. i am surprised angles of the Z remind the front grill to signify the 2zz engine inside.

  14. my guess is that pressure would be bad for na. $160 is a fair price for a no brand stainless steel muffler. but if you look on ebay you will probably find cheaper ones. whether it is roadworthy or not depends on how much noise it makes. you will probably find that it is quite loud. wonder if you asked the repco sales what their response would be.
  15. which side of melbourne are you in? you just want an independant mechanic not toyota service centre right?
  16. i think the holes are less obvious. personally i use c-one parts when possible i think of it as more exclusive. i do like the fact trd is gunmetal which blends into the boot compartment nicely. people going for weight reduction i think should consider c-one parts are lighter because they use aluminium instead of steel. anyhow here is a photo c-one
  17. last time i held the meet up at mcdonalds because of that. some members said to go to the multilevel but i said no because the ramps are too steep for some cars
  18. golf gti from hong kong http://www.optionfans.com.hk/localoptions_101.htm not a cheap car but there are so many on the roads in hk and it is common like the corolla in australia with many modified like the ones in the link above. kevin you got a passat right? starting to see a lot more of the latest model now.
