Hi guys, im trying to do this install as well, and i have a rough idea of which wire goes where, but im not getting any result. So far my RCA plug is cut open with three wires. I know which colour is pos, neg and ground. I connected my + to the red wire on the back of the unit, the - to the grey wire and my ground to the white wire. Is this correct? By the way my car is not a facelift model as i am doing a complete swap from my 6 stacker to a factory sat nav, so i have no 24 pin plug, so i have made my own connectors for where the 24 pin plug would originally sit.

This aurion driver didn't quite understand what happens when you are next to a truck on a tight corner....... now he does.

Well its been a few months and my car is still beading and feels smooth as glass. can't complain.

Hmmm seems like the aurion at my wrecker has been disposed.... Damn. I rang up Toyota and the mic is $220. I may be able to get it cheaper from a mate of mine so we shall see. Once I get everything I will post pics of the install and show you which wires go where.

hi mate, just look up any wrecker you can find and give them a call, the wrecker i got has a 2011 prodigy with bluetooth, so that will have the mic. As for the wiring all i know is that there are 3 wires which go into the back of the unit from the sunglass holder which are the RED/GREY, DARK GREEN, LIGHT GREEN. Then the pink wire is bridged from pin 18-12. When i rip out the sunny holder i will check out where the wires go into the back of it.

Hi guys, i just purchased a factory nav unit, and i want to hook up a mic to it. The presara has a mic installed in the sunny holder, which i can probably get from the wreckers. The only problem now is that the plug that goes into my sunny holder has only got 2 wires (which supply power to the map lights) Does anybody have a diagram for which wire goes where into the plug to power up the mic, and where abouts they go into the back of the head unit? If somebody with this factory unit and mic could be kind enough to try and trace the wires and see where they go from and to. Pictures will always help this situation make more sense. If somebody could do that i would appreciate it. Cheers.

I went into toyota today and got a brochure, this car has alot of nice features, pretty much the same as my BMW 7series And i like the look of the exterior and interior. Great value for $$$ i reckon

the mic is located in the map light/ sunglass holder, go into toyota and buy a new one as it could be faulty or check the fuse "mayday/tel" it is located in the fuse box under the bonnet, it is a 7.5 amp located roughly in the top middle, shouldn't be hard to find. If that is blown then that could be your problem! hopefully that is as its a cheap and easy fix :D

you will have to get a sunglass holder which contains the mic, then you will have to wire it up. When i go to see danny i will trace the wires and see where they go. If i end up with the unit i will attempt to wire it up haha

Spotted a gold sportivo ZR6 in black town area, it had gold on black number plates. ZR0006.

if the new aurion had the rear tail lights of this avalon then the aurion would look awesome

well to me i reckon it looks pretty mean. And i am happy that toyota kept it FWD, that is what the aurion is and what it should be. For a FWD car it is extremely impressive. Holden and ford took the easy way out of this and went RWD.... lazy c****... :P

wow the new aurion sportivo ZR6 looks really really good! Its new body kit definitely gives the car a more sportier look. The front is epic and the rear bumper i love. The tail lights are gay compare to the first model aurion, but overall a very nice aggressive looking car. I can't wait to see one of these things in real life.

haha, gotta love owning a silver car. You cannot see any swirls or scratches, but i still treat my paint like gold.

i will report each time i wash the car, as with a wax, everytime you wash your car it is washed away. Today i gave it a quick wash, and still perfectly smooth and water beads and runs off. All is good. I have realized that the car is so much easier to clean and it stays clean for longer. This is great stuff :D

so i will need to get a sunglass holder from a pressara? and get this oem connecter? OR Danny and i can swap sunglass holders :P

righto well i can get a reverse camera from wreckers, what about bluetooth mic? I am still interested in this unit though

If you want better results, remove the front seats and do under there as well, otherwise this is one quiet toyota.
