No, Toyota builds Corollas in the US at the NUMMI plant in California, the old joint-venture project with GM (which is why US got the Pontiac Vibe, Geo Prizm, Chevy Nova etc as they were re-bodied Toyotas). This is going to shift to the Ontario, Canada plant though as Toyota pulls out of the NUMMI contract I'm still convinced it was an inside job by GM

when you turn the wheel left or right, do you get a click / clunk noise coming from the steering? if so, its your CV's best to jack up the car and poke the CV boots with your finger. if something drips outs, time for a new CV boot while your there, check for cracks in the CV boots as well :)
