  1. its like buying a wrx or a GT4 celica....theyre made for performance, and most of their owners tend to make them 'perform'... <_<
  2. how long have you had ur stivo for? :o

I'll keep you posted if you like, but a couple of people were interested in checkin out the sportivos, theyre all keen and all you syd stivos would be welcome for sure so yeah, would you guys be interested in comin?
  6. hahah upon closer inspection he did say he stalled it.. my bad xtiger :D
  7. yeah i was thinkin of buyin one second hand a while back, but meh try finding a DC2 type R thats not used and abused
  8. Using a NOS kit has been done a fair bit on celicas (2ZZ), some have had dramas but many have run totally ok with nothing. I can imagine the engine wear wouldnt be good and fcked if id ever buy a second hand car with a NOS running into it...
  9. that would be the old shape yeah? (twin light)
  10. ISnt there a light on ur dash that comes on when u first start your car?? simialr to SRS Airbags....There will be a test light that will come on for a short period to make sure its running/operating ok, if u have ABS im sure there should be a little icon or light for it when u intiially start the car...??
  11. where did u get that he stalled it?: i didnt see him mention that anywher tiger? :(
  12. BUMP Does anyone else think its a good idea??? imma gonna start the trend then...

    HEY GUYS

haha u probably hired the import model, called the spacia... its gonna funny front lights, and comes as a turbo diesel setup.. mind you the stock oz taragos here are non-turbo petrol, so they would be even more sluggish
  14. done and done. now when to meet at parra park? maybe an evening so that if anyones working they can still make it?
  15. caltex vortex: With an octane rating of no lower than 95, and in some markets 96, will satisfy the Octane needs of most cars in Australia. - caltex website
  16. i stand corrected mobile etc is 98 ron....
  17. im pretty sure you have to source this out with toyota, there must be a specific module avaliable for the conversion, just have to have them price it... being a factory nav system it would be easiest I imagine to get the module through them (dealership)...
  18. yeah its one of those things, mobile and optimax are suppose to be great, and generally they are but believe everyone (like above : ) when they say that it can vary from servo to servo.. If u want to try something different use Caltex Vortex (its Premium of course) or BP Ultimate (which is suppose to be 98 Ron - a slightly higher octane level than normal premium...suited for performance jap cars such as the rex)....
  19. yeah true that, its not the whole department that sux. i guess i was mad at the service department for returning me a car that would have lost its front wheels in week whilts charging me for fixing it. But The spare parts guys, After spending so much money on our cars (toyotas) im sure people who have gone there have found it makes no difference and they will charge through the nose for some parts. i wanted a TRD exhaust upgrade as an option when i bought my celica, if i wanted one penrith were going to charge me $1900 supply and $150 to fit. Castle hill toyota will supply me the exhaust for $1500 and fit for only a little more. $400-$500 is a big saving IMO.... but theyre are some good blokes there so i should stop payin em out like that, and yeah project corolla is lookin good hey. my bad <_<
  20. Yeah i dont know where parramatta park is, but it sounds half decent so its all good. maybe in the next few weeks on a sunday will be the go, even if we meet as late as 6pm we'll still have a few hours of sun to play with
  21. Sydney Meet Jan 2004 - lol well considering the last thread contained two meets which never happned i thought i new thread might be in order (third time lucky.. ) Heres some info from the last thread: NIKICH - Wollongong Screaminrolla - Campbelltown Yekim - Fairfield xTigerx - Kellyville BlackRolla - Cabramatta Iorman - Kellyville B) Mickeyg - Near Bondi magicmayhem - Near Parramatta Sharmz - Blacktown Magic_32 - penrith Influx - Glenbrook
  22. yeah temperature makes a massive difference as you pointed out, as for me when i drive i do not use lift and usually keep the car at lower rpm during those crazy thirty to forty degree days when its boiling. I cant imagine its healthy to rev the car to 6-8krpm for lift during that heat, so i dont do it. Also do warm up your car, wouldnt believe how many celica posts ive read where people have complained about lift disengaging in the morning. the car has to warm up before it lets u engage lift and people are trying to hit lift within minutes of a cold start lol.. I saw a blue sportivo corolla in stclair the other day as i was passing through, it looked quite nice
  23. lol we need more time to plan it properly do it on another sunday/weekday evening or something in a few weeks..
