  1. exhaust is suppose to give the celica a 5KW increase, its been dynoed to prove it too, and it does .. i want one...
  2. lmao he has to buy his own buffing pads? why how expensive are they?
  3. i'll be at castle hill friday morning for a warranty job, look out for a celica driving into castle hill toyota <_<
  4. mind you this convo i had about not voiding the warranty by using TRD parts, was on the basis that i would have them install these parts for me...i would just supply them... but like exec says worse case scenario make sure ur mods are fully reversible and just go back to stock before going in for a warranty job.
  5. ok ive spoken to castle hill toyota, and TRD products installed on a car with a factory warranty do NOT void factory warranties, as TRD products are made to comply with the car's specifications and warranty expectations.. im not familiar with any other mods that are needed with CAI but if its avaliable through the catalogue then its covered..h
  6. hahah foward me the email mate ok guys ive decided meet at homebush at 6pm, Sunday 11th January. Homebush is fairly central and there is atleast its better than auburn maccas ive modified a map to show where we will meet. Basically just turn off onto australia avenue from homebush bay drive, and follow it (australia ave that is) all the way till the end until u see a right turn for MAJORIE JACKSON PARKWAY, take that turn and the carpark is just up from there.. alternatively u can also get to the PARKWAY from BENNELONG(spelling?) road, check the map for better reference. what u all think? we'll prolly do a short cruise to some place to get something to eat, depending on numbers and everyone on the night we'll work it out from homebush. the idea is to keep it simple so again depending on numbers we'll work something out but to give u an idea we have atleast 5 or so celicas and same number of stivos so it should be good My dodgy map editing : Click mapcourtesyofsydcruise
  7. i also bought mine from castle hill hahahhaha it seems a few people here have...
  8. maybe there is some kind of benefit or result from the products, but I still really feel its just and add in/sale booster thats all... and Exec6Speed hahaha
  9. Im pretty sure i read somewhere there is a TSB (Toyota fix) for celica decks with errors reading CDRs, and im pretty sure it was in a few other model cars to but they came up with some solution...speak to your dealer though and find out what the go is. From memory the problem wasnt that it didnt recognise them it was that after a while it just stopped picking them up as music cds and could not play any CDRs...
  10. because u have regular sex with the paint protection salesman at another dealership?
  11. haha most four cylinder will lose power when u turn the AC on..i cant believe dealer would say it doesnt
  12. its rediculous really, you can be a smart ***** and tell them you didnt know they were on and look dumb etc, IMO its all a money making thing, as if factory fog lights make any difference on the road, really theyre more a cosmetic thing for new cars rather than actually helping in fog. i know because driving back from bathurst my fog lights did absolutely nothing At the end of the day its just more money, fair enough fine the idiots with big floodlight/halogens running unnecessarily with no fog about, but other than that its just being over pedantic, and I think thats why (in which case you should be thankful) that many people get off with a warning and are told to turn them off .
  13. hahah this thread has gone from talkin about the wonders of paint protection to how its a complete scan and waste of money but seriously, its done nothing for mine and, the guys were so smart they hardly washed the car before applying any of the protection stuff, so any dirt, drops and dust was covered over with the protective applicants. its great when u wash ur car and can find waterspots that you CANNOT wash off!! <_<
  14. if one dealer can work out something and another cant, easily enough toyota management should be able to organise something for you (ie. take it to a different dealership that will fix the problems maybe - under warranty ofcourse?) I also agree with xoom's point of view, I also believe that when he goes to buy his next car/toyota? he will consider this rediculous crap he has gone through with the current toyota stivo
  15. didnt message back hey would have been good for the celi <_<
  16. hmm ive never been pulled over for it but yeah, i think they can fine u for it if theyre not in a good mood.
  17. man at the end of the day you have to realise this is a design flaw. sure when there is something there which they can do to help you, you can take it up with them and higher management, but if it is characteristic (being a design flaw/fact), many cars have them and no car is perfect. My celica also rattles and people have waited years for the TSB fixes to be published by toyota on how to eliminate rattles (shelfs, dashes, sunroof etc)....i know it rattles, i'll fix it soon, but quite frankly i have 140kws and can put up with it for the time being. take a look at some of the american sites for similar cars to the stivo/corolla and see the fixes (TSB's) posted there for any advice... at the end of the day if it bothers u that much make ur demands to be refunded the amount or proportion necessary so u can buy a different car? sayin this would you go for another stivo?
  18. but dont do it urself unless u've done that sort of stuff before or really know what your doing (mechanically)...
  19. paint protection is one of those add ins that offers u peace of mind but actually boost the dollars in the sale IMO...
  20. <_< hahah yeah it seems both penrith and lander have there issues. if u want a good dealership with great service im telling you guys, you cant go past castle hill. i bought my car from there and i service it only there. and i live in penrith so to drive to castle hill for a 9am service is h00j, but damn atleast i have peace of mind and am not ****** off with my service or anything...
  21. i messaged the guy (SMS) and didnt get a reply. i tried calling him but it said phone was switched off or not avaliable..
