Yes, you must tell your insurer about lowering your car. Even if you install a new strut brace/sway bar/alloys etc. As for a premium increase, it depends on your insurer. When AAMI switched to a more mod-friendly attitude, they gave the first 3 mods for free before your premiums went up. I didn't pay extra when declaring my extractors, catback and lowering springs. hrmmm.. does that mean i have to tell toyota about the 3 bar upgrades that i did :S ?
