  1. Is there much to gain in getting a good set of headers? or would my money be better spent on getting a cat back? i have heard the CES is good. They just port and polish and ceramic coat the stock headers dont they? CES Catback is a good choice, the CES headders fill the gap in the low-mid range even more just makes the car easier to drive even more again.
  2. re used both gaskets and there is few bolts you have to undo along the top of the headders/heat shield appart from that its all under the car.
  3. i jacked it up and put 2 wheels under each wheel, took me a little while but i had toyota related issues, should only take few hrs.
  4. i know there are few of us that have changed extractors ourselves, myself included but i dont think there is any guides with pics around.
  5. i dont think that 30K for the Ralliart Colt is too much or too cheap when you have a look at it its twice the price of the base model...
  6. arn't these the ones that will loose power? or was it the amss ones?
  7. in my first corolla i took a lead off the front speakers, in my sportivo the headunit has amp outs, i ran the power through the firwall on the passengers side through the same hole that the ECU loom runs through.
  8. after seeing Tom's effort i decided to have a bash at it myself. So over the weekend i made the dash mount for the LCD putting it where the CD Player normally goes. these are the guts out of the LCD. here is the case of the LCD being put in place ready to start the process. Sellys No More gaps - this stuff is just insane. The result of the no more gaps After it set i cut it back with a stanley knife Over the top of the no more gaps i put some septone fiberglass bond to give me a sold layer to work off. After sanding it back Now put some of this on and after sanding it back After few more coats and sanding in between now ready to put on some primer in preparation for the final coat Some pics of the finished product
  9. if you have a good driving record then i would be appealing this one for sure...
  10. im sorry guys but this has gotten way out of hand. Thread Closed.
  11. Welcome to the Forums George, in regard to headders you have two options TRD (~$1200) and the CES Racing ones (~$500 http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...?showtopic=6692 ) in my opinion and so far im pretty sure im the only to have had both brands on my car the CES ones will make you car alot easier to drive and will give you more low end power then the TRD ones as well as not loosing any power top end. :)
  12. booooo....pikers think we miggt go train tonight guys.
  13. silva passed the tools hehe, the only diff is the plugs on the back of the tail lights, as i did a swap with a facelift corolla i just cut the plugs off and joined them up to the existing loom. When i did this all the wires were diff colours but all the colours matched up from car to car, ie red + back - red/black was the earth etc. If you have anymore issues let me knwo. Corey
  14. it is stupidly loud... its like a race pipe but deeper...and the muffler isnt really a muffler its straight through, i.e. not baffled.... i know.. i use to have one B) not to mention it looks pretty ricer too yep another vote for insanely loud, danthuyer had one on his car and it was rediculos...
  15. have you got any dynos with the Beaver Muff's on? :)
  16. pretty much sums it up. on a side note for those who are bit slow on the uptake, nobody on the forums makes any sort of financial gains from CES. You guys are never happy you bitched when they didn't advertise and now you bitch when the do, you cant have your cake and eat it too...
  17. http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...?showtopic=5503 <_<
  18. your pretty much on the money, the white box only comes on the 1zz-fe corollas the 2zz-ge's dont get it. i have some pics somwhere of my 1zz with the bumper off ill try post them up tomorrow ( on my laptop atm )
  19. you will be happy with the polo, saw/sat in on at the motor show and myself and SB were very impressed WV cater for everyone from the grannys that drive with there knees in the engin bay to people like myself who are 6"+ and 115 odd kg's, good luck :)
  20. when i had the TRD extractors on my car they made no extra noises over the stock/CES ones...
  21. there is no way that you can "hear" the diff between stock headders and the TRD ones, my money is on a leak could be block side also could be cat side, id be doubble checking all the work you did as hot gas like that leaking could cause all sorts of issues and it would not be a warranty covered item..
  22. there should be no more noise from the TRD extractors then the stock ones, if there is a new noise then there is somthing thats not quite right....
  23. hope you have a great day mate. :)
