  1. I thought the same as you Aims...then they went and treated me like that. I'm now with Just Car Insurance. They sh!t all over NRMA in terms of support. The coilovers were covered for an extra $100 on top of my policy, where NRMA wouldn't cover me. They allow me to ride at whatever ride height is legal, where NRMA wouldn't. They were understanding and gave me more time (until the 8th of August) to pay the policy, reassured me that I would be covered with them until that date. I hate the NRMA. I am never going back to them. Poetically I saw the NRMA ad this morning. All lies. NRMA covered my coilovers, CAI/Headders?catback/PFC etc etc at no extra cost....
  2. i think that is for the US models, as far as i know the Aus delivered ones carry the same as the sportivo.
  3. the celica ECU would be no diff to the stock one i would imagine so i really cant see the point....?
  4. well i know that we didn't change any of the knock sensors and i know they work cause i can see the knock reading on the PFC Commander.
  5. ill put up my keys for anyone in brissy that wants to test one.
  6. i think we just used a single wire, i would have to go back through all the install notes i have.
  7. its all been covered before, check the link in my sig. basically the celica has a 2nd ECU (body computer) that takes care of some of the things that our ECU does. the looms in the celica and corolla cars are diff to reflect the ECU's in the cars.
  8. if its that bad i dont think they are gonna get a ruler out lol
  9. If you're 100mm off the ground Northy then your insurance is voided with them. 30mm drop from standard height is all they allow. Not trying to scare you, just letting you know. I even tried to get that underwritten on my car but it's cemented in their Policy guidelines. I told them that some people (within the club) are with the NRMA and that they are riding lower than that and they simply said to me, 'If they think that they're ok, well they're not. 30mm from factory height no more. So you'd better let them know that if they have an accident they are voided.' Sorry mate, I'm just trying to be of help. I don't want them to screw you over :( mate thats why i have coilover and the spanners :P
  10. my car is insured in its current form with NRMA no probs at all.
  11. good luck at the wreckers mate, also check out the online auction sites like fowlers as they have sportivos that come up from time to time
  12. another option, kings springs and set of koni adjustable shocks for just over $1200 IMO this would be a better option then the teins, you could also swap the low kings out for some super lows (65mm drop).
  13. this may shed some light on the situation, http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...?showtopic=6483
  14. hahahahaha i swear u guys are all cracking me up .... man i wish everyone can just chill and get over it .... i really dont give a flying hoot who has bought wat .... n wat it cost them ... n y its better than this or worse than that .... etc etc etc ..... buy what ever u want .... enjoy it and have fun And for all those thinking brian is hiding mods ...... he isnt ..... what he is hiding however is the down hill gradient of the melb drag strip though ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) damn u let out the meblourne secret man Sorry man i just had to .... oh n 1 more that the melb track was built on the old style metric system of measure miles so while all other 1/4 mile tracks measure 401m the melb track measures 390m ..... damn that 11m makes such a huge difference hey brian ;) ;) ;) wonder what the 11m and the down hill run equates to in regard to time.....
  15. this is because there have been a hand full at best of people who have said they may look at getting just the muffler, also those prices include fitting of the catback system so you take that into account and it is much better value for money over the spoon muffler.
  16. always park in gear, never trust the hand brake
  17. and the pic that i posted up is in the new drive by wire models.
  18. good luck as sportivo parts are as rare as hens teeth
  19. its too big and because its so strong i dont think that just clamping it down more would solve the issue
  20. there is nothing wrong with the TRD intakes, when the split it seems to have been caused because the hose clamps have been over tightened. The TRD CAI on my old 1zz is still going strong after 50,000km of driving with no issues, in saying this the replacement bend that i received for my 2zz was of better quality IMO then the original one that was supplied.
  21. Trev with the low km's that you have done id say there its prolly only going to be seals/rubber things that may be getting old due to the time i dont think there is gonna be alot thats gonna need fixing so to speak, but as the others said fine a non toyota mechanic, possibly get a recomendation from sombody so you know they will look over it with a fine tooth comb.
