Looong time no post.. here are some updated pics of the jdm gtfour..

300,000km is a good run for any car imo.. I've seen plenty of cars die at the 200,000km mark and earlier. Gold plate it and put it on a stand outfront of Toyota HQ. :)
Copy and paste is a wonderful thing no? I never understood why we need to go back to page 1 everytime.. but there you go. EOMM for October DATE: 28th October TIME: 9:30 AM LOCATION: Mt Wilson Cathedral Reserve BBQ Area
How many km on the clock? Has it ever had the timing belt replaced? If it hasnt.. replace the timing belt and water pump.. it does seem like there is a blockage or the pump is not circulating the water. If there is oil in the water.. you may have bigger problems.. gasket blown already maybe, check the oil for water. If it's milky you have a big problem. It might be the thermostat, but oil in water is not a good sign.
Hi there, how does tyre preasure cause this? And only on 3rd gear, just curious.. Thanks baaahahahaha... the same way as your wiper blades being worn might cause the head gasket to blow.
I put BP ultimate for the first time ever in the silly car the other day as BP is a no show in my area.. I usually use Caltex Vortex 98.. I find the opposite is true in my case. I get better acceleration with the Vortex.. I wont be buying Ultimate again. I have used V power but its been a while and cant compare. Whats to stop unscrupulous vendors selling 91 or 95 as 98 in a bowser labelled 98? I bet it happens. My car certainly feels likes it's running on 91 with this BP ultimate I have in it at the moment.
I got the same set as Vlad above on my GT4.. they are fantastic! $1000 and I installed them myself. Handles beautifully.. Highly recommend this guy when his new business website is up. edit.. here is the website to get the coilovers.. http://ceikaperformance.com/Custom-Built-Coilovers/ Very happy with them so far. Ready for the next cruise meet.
I had one of these! It was yellow.. unfortunately it also had lots of red rust.. :( I saw one done up very nicely in Sydney... looked incredible. interesting shape car. I loved the front end on em.
I've been watching Jap Auction sites and you can get an ST205 GT4 for a few thousand $.. I'm very tempted to have ago importing one myself, Im wondering why this guy spent mega bucks on the car and never registered it? Your doing a great job girl! keep it up. Get some nice wheels quickly. :D
Oh man.. really? I noticed ALL of the other headers sold on ebay did not have the extra supporting pieces from the turbo mount to the manifold.. I'm guessing this will prevent some warpage. ? It was the reason I bought them. These Jasma headers are more expensive than the other ebay junk.. so hopefully cost = better quality.. fingers crossed. Just need a dump pipe, then its off to the exhaust shop when I have some more money to burn.
Soft? Ive looked at some on cars and they look like they are made of hard plastic.. Could there be 2 types? The ones that came off mine were ridiculously soft.. can you post a pic please?
Hi everyone..
Anyone know where I can find the bump strips that go from the front guard and door to rear quarter?
The ones I mine were oviously some cheap garbage thrown on after the respray in Japan. And they soon started lifting so I ripped em off.. the mounting holes are now covered with glorious bullet hole decals.
Ive considered lifting some from a car in a wrecker, but I assume doing so would damage them.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Below is my little helper son removing the crud left over from the worthless strips.. turps works best.
Find a GT4 for the same money instead. :) Those big gauges hanging there are out of place on a n/a engine.. just silly. But it is nicely done.. he might get 5-6k for it I reckon.
So I picked up 6 x 205 litre Castrol barrels from my local Holden dealer to build a bridge to the island on my dads dam.. and I need lots more.. and this 1 x 60 litre that I plan to put all my old oil in.. then a thought occured.. and here it is! I'm going to do a better one.. a bit silly but hey.. thats me. :)
