  1. Not relevant. I read somewhere that the minimum is counted from the dealers' optional package.. So say with sportivo based line model, 16s, dealers offer 18s with extra $$. Then 18 it is. That us correct however it must be stated on the placard. You can go 10mm over the largest dealer fitted options but it must be stated what the options are on the placard. Eg the Is250 has stock 16s but on the placard it stated 16, 17, and 18s are fittable to the car. I don't have an Ateva so i don't don't know what the placard reads but on the sportivo it only has 17s stated. I doubt it states 16, 17 ad 18s on the Ateva.
  2. I thought with 16x6.5 you can't go over 7.5.

I don't know if doing the normal cold air intake, exhaust mods will do much if anything. I think the ECU might need to adjusted to begin with. For a 2.4L engine compression ratio of 9.6 is too low, even the corolla has more (10) and it's only 1.8L
  4. If the stock is 6.5 x 16 i have doubts but then again you will have issues with insurance as it is technically RTA- illegal to go that size.
  5. I'll have the 6000K if you're in Sydney.

I've only driven the Hybrid Gen 6 and it was kinda floaty but not too bad. The sportivo is a stiffer ride but than again the Camry isn't powerfull enough to really test it. Speaking of power, it's one of the negative points about the the camry 4 cycl. Off the mark is ok, but then flattens out.
  7. Oops i forget about not using 98. I just topped it up with Shell V-Power!
  8. 95 RON man but E10 works as well. I tried E10 before and found it to drink more than 95 RON.

  10. Ok i have pretty much dug out my boot and still the "gup/clunk" sound still exists. I've read the Aurion FAQs info on this noise and it is NOT coming from the engine compartment as stated. It sounds like it's from the springs/shocks.
  11. Yep will remind him to adjust the brake at next service. Thanks.
  12. Manufacture date of the car July 2008. Is there an upgrade/facelift model in 2008 or have i mis-read it to be 2009 (Sept)? Also the foot brake when press it's very light compare to the Lexuses. Is this normal for the Aurion?
  13. My dad bought an 2008 AT-X tonight. It's 7/08 built, does anyone know what the upgrade model (Sept 08) has over the pre Sept built?
  14. Thanks i shall keep this in mind.
  15. My dad is choosing between this two models but he can't seem to make up his mind. He particularly likes the way quick launch of the sportivo (very sporty and sports tuned ??) but i'm not sure if the AT-X is the same. Can someone advise whether the tuning is different between the two models?
  16. I was thinking of trying 98 RON but now that i read your post, i think i best give it a miss. My car doesn't die after successful ignotion, it just cranks alit longer than what i would think is normal. I hope it won't be like what yours is. How many Kms has yours travelled?
  17. I haven't heard of this, how does the rear seatbelts actually don't work after fitting HIDs? Edit: Oh you meant it as am example. Gotcha. I've ordered the T10 5 LED so i might do that first. The first mechanicl protection plan service is in 3 months time i might wait till after that to do the HIDs.
  18. I don't think this is normal, nor does it descrbes my noise. More investigation on my part is needed i guess...
  19. Don't have any dash rattles as mentioned in that thread. It's something in the boot, and only happens when the car is cold.
  20. Some say it's the battery. My battery is going but i did top it up with water (into those holes) and it made a little difference but yeh i think it could be the battery.
